Today we said goodbye to our wonderful Nigel as he officially retires.

As much as we are so glad that we won’t hear the 9 inch grinder going at 6:30am every morning, we will miss him so much.

His knowledge, commitment and workman ship will never be able to be replaced. A huge thankyou for all you’ve done for us Nige and we wish you a very happy retirement🫶🏽🫶🏽

Mick came to us looking for an upgrade for his spare wheel cover. His original plastic one was designed be a previous owner and was looking worn.

We made him a 3mm blacking plate, matched the plate to the colour of his scooter with a 3mm laser cut top plate personalised as requested.

We think it looks brilliant.

A lovely couple came to us looking to modernise their staircase and completely transform the feel of their home by upgrading their traditional wooden banister to a sleek glass balustrade ✨

We supplied and fitted this bespoke black metal box section and toughened glass balustrading, giving the space a much more open, modern and light feel while still keeping it safe and practical for everyday use.

The finished result completely changed the look of the landing and staircase 🤩

On Thursday, we were invited to the Stone Alzheimer’s Club alongside Stone scooter club to present the money raised at our Fuel & Flavour Day 💛

This amazing club has been running for 19 years, offering a warm and welcoming space for people living with Alzheimer’s/Dementia and their carers. From tea, coffee and biscuits to chat, games, bingo, singing and entertainers – it’s a place full of smiles and support. We had the chance to sit in on a session, and it truly is something special. The volunteers are incredible, and you can see just how much it means to everyone who attends.

In the UK, around 900,000+ people are living with dementia, with numbers expected to rise to 1.6 million by 2040. Around 1 in 11 people over 65 are affected, making it a cause that touches so many families.

We’re so proud to say we raised an amazing £867.69!!!!🎉

This will help keep the club running for around 2 months.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, Stone Scooter Club, and the staff at Xtraweld for helping make this possible 🙌

If you’d like to join the Thursday “Drop In Club”, it runs from 10:00–12:00 at Christ Church Centre, Stone, ST15 8ZB. Everyone is welcome 💙
