Kalmar Tractor Shunter – Line Boring Repair 🔧

Another line boring job completed for a valued returning customer, this time repairing worn rear axle pivot bores on a Kalmar tractor shunter.

The worn bores were set up and machined using our Elsa line boring equipment, built back up by welding and then finish bored back to size, ready for new bushes and pins.

A good example of how worn heavy plant components can be reclaimed in situ, avoiding the cost and downtime involved in replacing major components.

🔧 Another Machine Getting Demo Ready!

Great to be back working with a returning customer, getting their new machine ready for some upcoming demo work. 💪

We’re on site in Glasgow fitting a full set of protection, including:

🛡️ Track guards
🔩 Ram guards
🔧 Hose guards

All fabricated in house and fitted to help keep the vulnerable parts protected when the machine gets put to work.

Always good to see a returning customer — and even better getting a brand-new machine properly protected before it heads out on work. 👌

🚜 Another Line Boring Job Completed – Another Customer Back Up and Running! 💪🔧

This time we were on-site carrying out repairs to a JCB 437 Wastemaster, where the loader arm pivot bores had suffered significant wear.

Our repair process included:
✅ Machining out the damaged bores
✅ Applying two passes of weld to rebuild the worn areas
✅ Precision line boring back to OEM specification
✅ Pressing in new bushes
✅ Fitting new seals

The job didn’t stop there! Back at the workshop, we also repaired the headstock and part of the clamp bucket, ensuring everything was ready for reassembly.

With all repairs completed, the machine was fully reassembled, tested and returned to work with minimal downtime.

If your machinery is showing signs of excessive pin and bush wear, don’t leave it until it becomes a much bigger and more expensive repair.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

✳️Experience (Preferred but not essential): Prior experience in a hire/repair business or using InspHire software (full training provided).

Another bespoke fabrication job completed and ready for work. 💪💪

A recent custom headstock was designed and built from scratch in-house to allow a new Quicke loader to utilise existing Manitou attachments.

All components were CNC plasma cut in our workshop before being fabricated, assembled and finished in John Deere green to match the new loader. We also fitted and plumbed in the customer-supplied Manitou hydraulic locking ram, providing quick and secure attachment changes.

From design and fabrication through to final installation, this project showcases our ability to deliver practical, heavy-duty solutions tailored to our customers’ requirements.
