Very impressed with our new pellet stove that’s just been installed at our HQ. I can see these being included in a few of our future builds. Fill up the hopper on the top of the stove with a 10kg bag of wood pellets costing approx £4 and heat your home all day. Everything’s all controlled through an app on your phone. The stove connects to your WiFi and it gives you all the stats and tells you when the hopper needs topped up. Our house has been cooking during the terrible weather we’ve had recently. My name is Craig Smith, Director of C.S. Homes Stonehouse Ltd seen some of our previous projects, but here’s a bit of background about me.

I come from a long line of family members who collectively cover almost every trade imaginable. My father had me working on his sites from a young age, and at 16 I secured an apprenticeship with a small architectural firm as an Architectural Technician. I worked there for around 10 years, helping self-builders and property developers bring their dreams to life.

In my spare time, I built my first home at just 18. At 21, I purchased a church and converted it into my home (and I’ve since completed several other conversions). In 2014, I founded C.S. Homes (Stonehouse) Ltd — and I’ve never looked back.

Since then, we’ve gone from strength to strength. We’ve built stunning one-off homes, completed small multi-home developments and courtyards, and been involved in larger projects including 12 homes in Sandford and 32 units in Lanark.

Over the years, I’ve received countless calls for advice and support — and to be honest, I genuinely love solving problems others can’t. I get a real buzz from helping people achieve their goals on time and on budget.

This new service is designed specifically for self-builders, and I’m happy to tailor a package to suit your individual needs.

New year, new bathroom ! We’re currently redoing this bathroom at our HQ. The previous bathroom had been in for 10 years since we build the house in 2016, so we felt a little upgrade was needed !
Tomorrow will see it grouted. Thursday we are having 6 spotlights installed. Thereafter the ceiling will be plastered and painted and the new sanitary ware will be installed. Can’t wait to see it finished 😍

We, Craig Smith and Gio Smith, have decided to offer Paterson Church for sale. We have advertised it for rent since we bought it a few months ago. While we've had a number of people and businesses interested, none have followed through with renting it to date.

We are very keen to see this building being utilized and would love nothing more than to see it serve the community. Whether it becomes a gym, community hall, dance/yoga/karate space, or another business like a soft play/climbing center, the possibilities are endless for someone with a little imagination.

As a second option, we are now offering it for sale in case there is someone who would like to purchase our beautiful building and transform it into their dream business. Buying may be more appealing to a new potential owner than renting from us.

While it was never our intention to sell Paterson Church, we have lovingly restored it to its former glory, and it’s too good a building to lie empty. Please feel free to share our post, and hopefully together we can find someone who shares our love for the building and make it something special for the whole community.
