Over the past few weeks, I have been reflecting on our business journey. It's a testament to our team's dedication that we've weathered many ups and downs and are still thriving 41 years on.
My stepfather, Paul Norman, a time-served toolmaker, started the business. (Fun fact: Kier Starmer's father was also a toolmaker—remember that line from the election campaign?) My dad and grandfathers were also toolmakers; I thought that was what all dads and grandfathers did when I was growing up!
Although my stepfather is now semi-retired, he remains deeply invested in our company and keeps abreast of all that is happening. Today, Chris Wrenn (Technical Director) and I run the day-to-day operations with our fantastic and loyal team of 23 employees.
Our commitment is not to the bucket and spade market, where high volumes and low margins often measure success. Instead, we focus on providing specialised, high-quality plastic injection moulding solutions through niche, low-volume manufacturing. This approach allows us to tailor our services to the unique needs of our clients, reinforcing our identity as a company that truly cares for its customers.
As we continue to grow and adapt, I am immensely proud of our team's resilience and dedication. We look forward to many more years of delivering exceptional products and service.
