What a fab idea...now where are my coloured pencils 😀

The next demo Scamp is due to be built soon, ready for a birthday party and events.
But rather than us choose the colours and the name, we're handing the decision over to you!
Below is an outline image of a Scamp - you can download print and colour, or do it digitally.
Solid colours only, each section has the possibility to be coloured differently to other sections, but doesn't have to be.
Section 1 - Bonnet, seat box, cab sheet
Section 2 - Front grille
Section 3 - Chassis
Section 4 - Coupling faces and axle box covers
Section 5 - End weights

The winner will also get to name the loco (something sensible!)
Competition ends on Friday 31st January, with the winner chosen soon after by CMD team members and Scamp designer Colin Edmondson.

Vacuum Limiting Valve – Back in Stock

Small component. Big responsibility.

Our Vacuum Limiting Valve is designed for steam locomotives fitted with a vacuum ejector and is used to set and control the maximum level of vacuum in the braking system.

On most miniature railways, the recommended maximum vacuum is around 15″ Hg. Limiting the vacuum is essential because if the reservoir vacuum becomes higher than the ejector can reliably produce, the brakes may remain applied and fail to release correctly.

By controlling the maximum vacuum level, this valve ensures reliable brake operation and helps prevent problems caused by excessive system vacuum.

Compact, easily adjustable, and small enough to be mounted discreetly within the locomotive or tender.

❄️ Good morning from PNP Railways

What a beautiful start to the day, very cold, but bright. We are pleased it has been only a light dusting of snow rather than anything more disruptive.

We are now back from our Christmas break, and normal service resumes from today. Any orders placed over the break will be processed and despatched over the coming days, and we are back to answering enquiries as usual.

We are looking forward to getting back into the swing of things and helping with your railway projects as the year gets underway.
