Summerhill is a quiet street of mostly 3 and 4 storied Victorian buildings which retain their original impressive features. Many of the buildings are divided up into a variety of different sized flats giving one and two bedroomed apartments. It is very close to the University Metro station and the City Campus on Chester Ro

ad is extremely close by. Summerhill Estates is an independent small family owned company who employ no agents and administer the business directly themselves. They have been renting properties to students for over 22 years and are proud of the fact that they usually fill their properties as the result of personal recommendations from their existing students to their friends! Many student tenants stay on until graduation and often beyond as they either stay on for Postgraduate Masters Degrees or Phd's or start work nearby. (Two such tenants have remained with us since last Century!) We do NOT include bills in our rents but are only too willing to help and advise when setting up and running electricity and water accounts. BUT we do provide internet connectivity as part of the rent in the flats. There is no provision of, nor therefore charge for gas in the Summerhill flats and all heating and cooking are done with electricity. (The shared houses in our property portfolio do have gas central heating and usually source their own internet provision.) Council Tax Exemptions are obtainable upon proof being provided of full time student status. All flats are Band A.) All of the Gatherer family members have been students and tenants so understand the renting business from both sides of the rental market. Admittedly, it has been quite a few decades since Virginia and her husband David have been students and tenants themselves, but not so long since their son and daughter graduated. They like to think of themselves as decent landlords with decent properties seeking decent tenants. The rents are usually paid in Termly tranches by British based students in accordance with their funding) and monthly by overseas students as they are usually funded differently. A monthly rent is referred to as a "Calendar Month" and is calculated on the basis of the weekly rent multiplied by 4.333 as eleven months of the year have 30 or 31 days in each month. The rents are non negotiable and pitched at what is believed to be a reasonable level. Each tenant is required to pay rent in advance and to pay a bond of £250 each which is returnable when the property is handed back in a clean, tidy and decent state.

Dutch developed a new tulip named in honor of Ukraine and featuring the yellow and blue of the Ukrainian flag. Named the “Tulip Ukraine” (Tulipa Ukraine”).

These are gorgeous and need to be planted everywhere possible💙💛

We have some studios and one bedroomed flats, some two person flats of varying sizes and ONE three person flat available for the next Academic year. ( ie from June/ July/ August 2020 to 2021) They are all situated within a terrace of Victorian houses in Summerhill which is really close to the University City Campus, the Murray Library, the University Metro Station and the City Centre.
All of our flats are fully furnished and all electric. Bills are not included. Water rates work out to be approximately £ 6.20 pw and electricity is chargeable strictly upon usage. We provide Virgin Media internet connection by wi-fi which is shared by the rest of the house.
Our contracts are never less than 44 weeks .
We will be happy to show applicants around the properties.

Welcome to Summerhill Estates! We are a small family owned company specialising in renting flats to students primarily. We like to think that we are decent landlords with decent properties seeking decent tenants!
Our prices are reasonable and have not been raised much over the last few years. However, the prices quoted do not include bills. It IS cheaper for the tenant in the long run to be in control of their own bills.....unless the tenant wishes to recreate the climate of Athens ( in the summer) or Lagos ( all year round)
For the flats in 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 Summerhill the bills are only for electricity ( which does everything) and water ( which is not metered but works out to be about £6 per week per flat. We provide the internet connection. ) we do not provide cleaners.... we expect our tenants to be sufficiently mature and intelligent to keep their own flats clean!
Our rents are not negotiable...
