Another transformation completed in Coton-in-the-Elms 🔨✨

For this ground floor refurbishment, we completely stripped the space back – removing the old kitchen, flooring, and skirting boards to give us a clean slate to work from 🧱

A key part of the project was removing a structural wall and installing a steel beam, opening up the space to create a bright, open-plan kitchen diner 🏡

We then brought it all back to life with a brand new Wren kitchen, continuous LVT flooring throughout, and fresh skirting boards to finish everything off cleanly 👌

A huge difference in both layout and feel – turning a closed-off space into a modern, functional heart of the home 🔥

2 years in the making… and we’re finally on site 🙌

This one in Swadlincote is going to be something special. We’re opening up the full width of the house to create a huge open plan kitchen/living space, packed with natural light and finished with some beautiful brick detailing 👌

Add in loads of glazing and a seriously stunning kitchen choice from the client… and you can see why we’re buzzing about this one.

This Whetstone project is nearly there… and what a transformation it’s been 🔥

We’ve taken this one right back and opened the whole space up to create a proper open plan kitchen diner.

Works included:

🏡 Removal of existing conservatory
🧱 Widening the rear opening & installing bi-fold doors
🔩 Removal of internal load bearing wall
🪟 Installation of a large picture window
🪵 LVT flooring throughout
🍽️ Bespoke kitchen & utility designed, built and fitted by

The difference in light and space compared to what was there before is unreal — exactly what the client was after.

We’ll get some proper finished photos once it’s fully complete, but this one was too good not to share 👀

As we head into Christmas, I just want to say thank you.

To our clients for trusting us with your homes, and to the GCR team for the graft, pride, and long hours that often go unseen.

A genuine thank you as well to the architects, engineers, suppliers and subcontractors we work alongside — nothing gets delivered to this standard without strong people around you.

It’s been a year that tested us, taught us a lot, and ultimately strengthened how we work.

We’re heading into the new year with a strong pipeline and some exciting projects already taking shape.
