Conveyor loading points operate in extreme conditions including impact and spillage which is not an ideal environment for moving parts such as bearings and seals. Consequently idler rollers are prone to failure at this location and this in turn often leads to belt damage.

A great improvement in reliability can be achieved by use of an MHP loading point module which eliminates all moving parts by the use of low friction topped rubber bars mounted on a custom made fabricated frame to suit the conveyor. MHP has a range of proven, standard designs which are modified as required for each application.

MHP supplies the most advanced and best performing conveyor pulley lagging in the world. Porous ceramic tablets embedded in a pre-coated rubber matrix offers not only the best possible drive, especially in wet conditions, but also hugely outlasts conventional rubber lagging.

MHP porous ceramic lagging fitted to a 4000 tonnes per hour elevator 6 years ago has performed since completely without maintenance. Previously the lagging had to be changed every 3 or 4 months. Also the conveyor previously suffered from belt slip in damp conditions which has not only been completely eliminated but the drive will now start fully loaded in wet conditions.
