A before and after. A common fault on these Ideal Logic boilers. Cause from the moulding point giving way on the flue manifold, causing products of combustion to escape into the boiler casing. The customer was unaware of this happing as from the outside of the boiler it all looked normal. But this was picked up on the yearly service. 25 years plus this oil boiler has been going! And it’s still looking good 😎. A good clean, new nozzle and air/oil pressure settings adjusted will see this run as efficient as it should be over the coming winter.

Oh, and you can keep your premiership football stars or F1 drivers. I got to meet the next door neighbour who happens to be the U.K. clay pigeon champion for four years in the running!

Usually we’re servicing or repairing boilers, or installing heating systems to suit one bedroom flats to some of the most advanced smart tech systems currently available. But today we repaired a toilet... But these things need doing and as with everything we do there’s job satisfaction when it’s all fixed and completed 👍

Check out these pipework tekkers. Done on a job for Phoenix install. Customer was adamant we had to use the two existing holes through the wall and we not allowed to lift the floor. So using the three fixed points we were given this is what we came up with.

Full strip down service on a valiant. Every 5 years these Valiant boilers require the graphite heat exchanger seal to be replaced, and this one hadn’t been done in 9 years as you can see by the pictures below. All clean and ready for the year ahead now though!

Nice little before and after photos of a recent install in Beachamwell. Replacing a 20 plus year old system for a new Worcester Bosch oil boiler and invented cylinder. Increasing hot water pressure and heating efficiency!

Still got a bit of making good to do, like actually turning it on and testing it. Making good around the flue and polishing the pipes. But this project for a homeowner who is renovating an inherited house is coming along nicely. They removed the old oil system and called us in to fit an Lpg combi boiler.
