Night works – Curved glass replacement | Victoria Coach Station

We completed an overnight emergency glazing replacement at Victoria Coach Station, a live transport hub in central London. A large curved glass panel forming the corner of the waiting area had cracked and needed urgent replacement to keep the area safe and maintain normal operations.

Working out-of-hours to minimise disruption, we set up a controlled exclusion zone and erected access scaffolding to reach the high-level curved glazing safely. The damaged panel was carefully removed, the aperture prepared, and a new bespoke curved toughened glass unit installed to the exact radius. We completed final alignment, structural silicone sealing and full weatherproofing, leaving the station secure and ready for reopening.

Emergency door repair | Garlinge Primary School, Canterbury

We were called out on an emergency attendance to a school entrance door that had dropped out of alignment and wasn’t operating correctly. The issue was traced to worn pivots and a failing concealed overhead transom closer, which was causing the door to scrape at floor level and become unreliable on closing.

We made the area safe, removed the defective components, then installed a new bottom pivot, top pivot and concealed transom door closer. Once fitted, we re-hung the door, set the clearances, and fully adjusted the closing speed and latch action to achieve smooth, controlled operation. Final checks were completed and the entrance was left secure and back in service.

Out-of-hours aluminium entrance door replacement | Costa Coffee, Dover

Last night we attended the Costa Coffee unit at Leisure Park, St James Street, Dover to replace a double aluminium entrance door set out-of-hours, so the store could trade as normal during the day.

We secured the work area, removed the existing door set, then installed a like-for-like replacement with new fixings and seals where required. Once fitted, the doors were fully aligned and adjusted for smooth operation, with final commissioning checks completed on handles/locks and closing action before a clean handover.

Emergency Floor Spring Replacement – City of London Office Building

NZR Windows & Doors completed an emergency floor spring replacement at a prestigious City of London office building after a frameless glass door dropped and began scraping the threshold.

The original floor spring had corroded and was leaking hydraulic oil, which caused the door to lose control and fall out of alignment.

Works completed:
• Excavated the floor box and removed the failed unit
• Installed a new AXIM TC-8800 floor spring
• Precision levelled using levelling shims for correct height and alignment
• Fitted new stainless steel cover plates
• Rehung the door and adjusted top pivot brackets for smooth closing and perfect alignment

High-Level Window Replacement – Brixton, London

We were instructed to replace a leaking aluminium window on the 8th floor of a residential block in Brixton. Due to the height and access restrictions, this job required full coordination and planning.

We arranged the council parking suspension and pavement permits, dealt directly with the building management team for approval, organised the cherry picker access, removed the failed window, and supplied and installed a new aluminium unit.

All work was completed safely and within one day, with minimal disruption to residents or the surrounding area.

We’ve recently completed works at SupaJam School in Swanley.

The project involved replacing the old crittall windows with new white UPVC units, installing a new back door combination, and carrying out making good throughout. A few additional windows were also replaced as part of the works.

Window Upgrade at Net Church Dartford

We recently completed an important window upgrade at Net Church in Dartford — a place that means a lot to its community.

The original steel Crittall windows were worn and inefficient, but the front of the building is listed, so we couldn’t change its appearance. Instead, we installed internal secondary glazing to protect the building’s character while improving energy performance and comfort for everyone inside.

At the side, we replaced the windows with new white UPVC units, bringing a fresh, clean finish. All works were completed safely with full permits, RAMS, and access scaffold in place.

It’s always a privilege to work on buildings that serve people. This one was no exception.
