As part of our continued expansion, we are recruiting for a skilled and dedicated Commercial Electrical Technician / Electrician to join our Electrical Division. This is an excellent opportunity to utilise your technical expertise in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, working in the London and Kent region.

Essential requirements are ECS Gold certification and at least 5 years of commercial or industrial experience in maintaining, repairing and installing electrical systems.

We are offering an attractive salary up to £45k, company car and benefits package for the right candidate and the commercial experience we need.

We were thrilled to see footballer Raheem Sterling join the London Fire Brigade football team in supporting the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme at GOALS Wembley. This is a fantastic initiative which provides free football, meals and engaging activities for children in the school holidays.

Raheem is now an ambassador for the HAF programme and in true community spirit, spent time with local children and joined in a game of football.

Trail Group is incredibly proud to support the London Fire Brigade Football Club and the great work LFBFC does for local children across London.

We are joining over 350 business leaders at the Thames Valley Business & Community Awards this week having been shortlisted for the Outstanding Contribution to the Community Award. Chris Monk and Kerry Chappell will be representing the Trail team at the black tie event in Reading.

This year there were more than 1,000 entries to these awards so we were absolutely thrilled to be shortlisted.

Delivering social value is central to everything we do at Trail Group. We want to make a difference at every level – from helping our clients improve the standard of social housing to promoting building and fire safety to keep our communities safe.

We are also fortunate to be in a position to give back – whether that is our brilliant teams giving their time to support local community projects or fundraising to help underprivileged children in the UK and around the world.

As 2024 draws to a close, we reflect on some of the incredible charities we have worked with this year – including World Child Cancer, The Chandran Foundation and Heather House Community Hub. Well done on everything you continue to achieve.

We have had a lot of fun with our fundraising initiatives – from clay pigeon shoots, charity dinners, and swimming in the Serpentine to donating to food banks and refurbishing a local community café.

We strongly urge other companies to do as much as they can to support their wider community because it is a complete win-win!

This year the Mental Health Foundation has launched a campaign to promote movement: moving more for our mental health.

Did you know that of the most important things we can do to help protect our mental health is regular movement?

Our bodies and our minds are connected. Looking after ourselves physically also helps us prevent problems with our mental health and enhance our wellbeing.

Even a short burst of 10 minutes’ brisk walking can boost our mood and increase our mental alertness and energy.

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week, which we are proud to support.

Every year, 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem. But too many of us aren’t getting the help we need. There are over 2 million people are waiting for NHS mental health services, and since 2017 the number of young people struggling with their mental health has nearly doubled.

It is important that we all raise awareness of mental health to help build a better future and make sure no-one has to struggle alone.

We are very proud that in addition to Trail Group's support for the fantastic charity that is the Chandran Foundation (CF), our Executive Assistant Kerry Chappell now volunteers to provide administrative support in her own time to help with their fundraising and events.

She says, “Working with CF is so incredibly positive. Being able to help others through my work is immensely rewarding and empowering, and definitely makes me feel more fulfilled.”

“I am delighted to able to contribute to the organisation of ambitious fundraising events, which this year will include a two-day Golf Event at The Belfry Hotel & Resort in June.”
