Great to see MPS building momentum in China 🇨🇳

Our Country Manager, Jack Song, recently presented at the 6th Offshore Floating Wind Power Conference in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, sharing our approach to making deep-water offshore wind a practical reality.

The conference also gave us the opportunity to connect with key developers, supply chain partners, government representatives and wider industry stakeholders. Valuable conversations, strong engagement and another important step in growing our presence in the Chinese market.

We’re excited by the opportunities ahead in China, and by the role MPS can play in taking offshore wind further there.

The latest Marine Energy Wales State of the Sector Report highlights just how quickly the conversation around offshore wind is changing.

The focus is no longer simply on generating clean electricity. It's about creating the manufacturing capability, supply chains, ports and skilled workforce needed to deliver projects at industrial scale.

With around 80% of the world's offshore wind resource located in waters deeper than 60 metres, deep-water deployment will be critical to meeting future energy demand. The report recognises the importance of technologies that can reduce cost, simplify deployment and support UK manufacturing as the Celtic Sea moves towards commercial-scale development.

Great to see growing recognition of the opportunity deep-water offshore wind presents for the UK.

As projects move beyond the limits of conventional fixed foundations, innovation will be essential to unlock new sites, strengthen UK manufacturing and deliver clean energy at lower cost.

We're proud to share that MPS has been awarded First Prize in the International Category at the 2026 Xiong'an International Green Energy Technology Innovation Competition, China, for our PelaFlex GS offshore wind platform.

It's a fantastic recognition of the work our team has put into challenging convention and developing a simpler, lighter and more scalable approach to deep-water offshore wind.

As deep-water offshore wind moves towards large-scale deployment, the industry needs technology that reduces cost, lowers risk and can be manufactured and deployed efficiently at scale. That's exactly what PelaFlex GS has been designed to deliver.

We're also delighted to have contributed to discussions with industry, government and academic leaders on how innovation can accelerate the commercial deployment of clean energy technologies.

This recognition reinforces what we've believed for years: with the right technology solutions, offshore wind can become a practical reality in deep water around the world.

Onshore wind is now one of the world's most affordable forms of power generation. Offshore wind has the potential to go even further, but unlocking deep-water sites at scale requires a new approach.
