Gower Galaxy held its presentation day yesterday to celebrate the players achievements over the season.

It’s been great to see the player development, enjoyment, passion and dedication to the club over the year.

With our players at nearly 190 we held an afternoon and evening event at The Lodge in Gorseinon. All our coaches presented trophies to our players through the day, which was then followed by music from the brilliant DJ Dan’s Disco 👏👏

A special thanks to Chantal Barallon for creating the amazing balloon arch 👏

Thanks to all our parents, coaches, volunteers and sponsors for all your help and support throughout the season 💜

Firstly, congratulations to all of our prize winners! We hope you enjoy your fantastic prizes and thank you for supporting our 2026 Presentation Raffle. 💜⚽

A huge thank you goes to every player, parent, family member and friend who purchased tickets and helped make the raffle such a success. Thanks to your incredible support, we raised an amazing £817!

We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to all of the local businesses and organisations who generously donated prizes. Your support of grassroots football and our young players is greatly appreciated.

The money raised will be reinvested directly back into Gower Galaxy FC to support the continued development of our girls through:

✅ New equipment
✅ Coach education and development
✅ Player opportunities and experiences
✅ Future club initiatives

As a community club, fundraising like this plays a vital role in helping us provide the best possible environment for our players to learn, develop and enjoy their football.

Following a fantastic season as Gower Galaxy Girls, where we were crowned WWWGL Division 2 Champions 🏆 and WWWGL Plate Trophy Winners 🏆, we're excited to begin a new chapter as Garden Village AFC U14 Girls following our merger with Garden Village AFC.

As we make the step up to 11-a-side football for the 2026/27 season, we're looking to strengthen our talented and ambitious squad with new players.

Whether you're an experienced player or looking for a new challenge, we'd love to hear from you!

ITS FESTIVAL SEASON 😆 🎉

The u7s had an absolute blast this morning at the Clydach Festival! A huge thank you to all the organisers and volunteers who made the event run so smoothly throughout the day 👏

The team came up against some seriously tough opposition, but every single girl gave 110% right until the very last kick of every game. While results didn’t quite always go our way, the girls picked up a brilliant win and were incredibly unlucky not to grab another after a fantastic performance 💪🔥

There were some superb team goals scored throughout the morning, outstanding defending, and some brilliant passages of football played. The effort, attitude and togetherness shown by the girls made us incredibly proud 👏

Player of the week 🏆
This week’s Player of the Week goes to Ella! For her sheer determination not only this morning, but over the past few weeks as well. Ella has given absolutely everything every time she steps onto the pitch.. Well done Ella! 🌟👏

To finish off a fantastic morning, the girls proudly collected their medals, had plenty of laughs between games playing “Taco Gato Cabra Queso Pizza” (yes… in Spanish! 😂🇪🇸 Thank you Clara’s mum Beth for entertaining the girls!), but most importantly they played with pride, passion and togetherness all day long! Well done girls! 👏
