Tidal Lagoon page! Our first project, the Swansea Bay Tidal Lagoon, will establish a scalable blueprint for our programme.

The proposed Swansea Bay tidal lagoon is the world’s first tidal lagoon based power plant, capable of generating enough electricity for 155,000 homes, approximately 90% of Swansea Bay. It is capable of generating electricity for 14 hours a day over its 120 year life. This is a significant opportunity for Wales to take the lead in the tidal industry for the UK as we work towards driving a critical

change in the UK’s energy mix with low cost, low carbon electricity sources that are sustainable long-term.
