The RHI is due to expire on 31/03/2022 and will be succeeded by the BUS https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/environmental-and-social-schemes/boiler-upgrade-scheme-bus , bookings are building up, and we anticipate that there will be a high demand for heat pumps and solar with the increase in prices in April.

The plan for the future of heating to replace fossil fuel over the next 14 years has been released, we are still awaiting the strategy.

The RHI is due to close on 31st March 2021, to be replaced with a £5000 grant to help reduce the cost of installing heat pumps.

At last, the Government is realising that there is a benefit to reducing the subsidy paid to the gas industry, and reducing the levies on the electricity supply.

Plans to incentivise people to install low-carbon heating systems in a simple, fair and cheap way as they replace their old boilers over the coming decade.

The role:
We are looking for a Plumber to join our busy team of renewable heating installers to fit Air and Ground source heat pumps, hot water cylinders and radiators, in and around the Swindon and Cotswolds area. We install energy efficient heating in homes and workplaces, with a focus on low temperature heating, district heating, swimming pools, solar thermal and air conditioning. We recognise that qualifications in the renewables industry are rare, and we will be training candidates with the right attitude and ability to install Heat pumps and Solar thermal to a high quality standard.

The right candidate must have the following:
• Level 3 City and Guilds plumbing and heating or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years post apprenticeship experience
• Part G3 unvented hot water certificate
• Part L energy efficiency
• Full UK driving licence (clean)
• CSCS gold card
Desirable:
• 18th Edition wiring regulations
• Domestic gas installation and servicing
• Oftec 101-105
• F-Gas Cat 1
We will provide you with:
