The Bell Flight 429 in our static park line-up has a Wire Strike Protection System fitted as standard from the factory in Canada. It is possible to have them removed from the specification for new orders, but who’s going to remove a key safety feature. Check out the aircraft and speak with Bell’s UK/Eire representatives at Helix Av who are with this helicopter.

Junior doctors swap hospitals for AW169 in Air Ambulance Taster Day

On 18 May, Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance (LNAA) hosted another successful taster day where doctors and paramedics showcased the multifaceted aspects of pre-hospital emergency medicine (PHEM) to trainee doctors.

PHEM is a rapidly expanding and evolving medical sub-speciality, and yet it is rarely included in medical school or foundation curricula, making it hard for junior doctors and medical students to identify it as a career option.

LNAA organized this special taster day as a way for trainee doctors to gain an insight as to the role of a doctor working within the Air Ambulance environment.

CAA Representatives to be at RotorTech UK 2023

The UK Civil Aviation Authority General Aviation unit will be attending this year’s RotorTechUK event with a range of representatives on hand to answer all your GA questions on issues from Airworthiness to Flight Operations and Policy. Staff from our Shared Service Centre will be in attendance to provide advice on general Flight Crew Licencing enquiries. In addition, Members of our Airspace team will be available to provide advice on how to prevent airspace infringements as well as guidance on other airspace issues.
