We are seeking an experienced Steel Buyer to join the team.

Role Overview:
As a Steel Buyer, you will play a crucial role in sourcing steel sections, cladding materials, bolts, and powered access hire for a variety of projects. Your expertise in procurement strategies and negotiation skills will be key in securing the best deals and ensuring a steady supply of materials for our projects. This role requires a proactive individual who can navigate supplier relationships, market trends, and purchasing cycles with precision.

Key Responsibilities:

Procure materials including steel materials, cladding materials, bolts, and powered access/tool hire, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
Negotiate contracts and prices with suppliers, securing the best possible deals for the company.
Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs and ensure high-quality standards are met.
Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and identify potential new suppliers to expand our network.
Monitor market trends and adjust procurement strategies to capitalize on pricing fluctuations.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure material availability aligns with project timelines and requirements.
Track inventory levels and manage material stock to avoid delays in project ex*****on.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience as a buyer in the construction or steel industry.
Strong knowledge of steel products, cladding materials, bolts, and powered access hire.
Excellent negotiation skills, with a track record of securing favourable terms.
Proficient in procurement strategies, cost analysis, and supplier management.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to foster relationships with both internal teams and external suppliers.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
A keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills.

Bravejoin Co Ltd are proud to be part of the restoration of a grade 2 listed mill building in our local town, Tamworth. Tolsons Mill will consist of 51 canal side apartments and 10 town houses. Bravejoin undertook the fire escape tower connecting to the mill, contrasting the historical building with a modern spin.

This project was on the doorstep for Bravejoin. We completed the structural steelwork, SFS system, internal staircase, balustrades, juliet balconies, glazed & aluminium louvres, façade cladding & roofing. Bravejoin usually undertake multiple trades for our clients, with our resources & experience within the construction industry we take the same attention to detail no matter what the supply.
