Ever wondered how drainage engineers work out where water actually goes underground? 👇

This is drain dye testing - one of our favourite diagnostic tools.

Here you can see Junior Project Engineer Cam pouring what looks to be a rather ominous red, but a non-toxic coloured dye into the drainage system and track where it comes out.

It sounds straightforward, and it is - but it's incredibly useful for identifying hidden connection problems, tracing misrouted flows, and confirming whether a system is working the way it should.

The red dye might look alarming, but it's completely safe and it gave us a clear picture of the drainage layout within minutes.

From 39°C to the rain - WCI engineers take it all in their stride! 🌦️

It’s been a week of extremes for our service team! After that brutal heat wave, we were all relieved to see the temperatures drop, though it looks like the sunshine has traded places with some classic British downpours.

Although there was a brief sunny break in the clouds over yesterday!

Whether it's sweltering in the vans or braving the wet weather on the road, the WCI team is out there every day making sure the job gets done.

Here’s hoping for a bit more of that blue sky soon!

A sweet relief after a hot week! 🍦

​After days of battling the intense heat wave, our incredible team finally got a well-deserved cool-down break today.

​It has been a challenging week out in the field. To give you an idea of what they've been dealing with, the temperature inside one of our vans hit a staggering 39°C!

We are so proud of the team for pushing through these extreme conditions to ensure our customers' systems stay up and running.

​Huge thanks to our engineers for their dedication. It was I've cream all round for Lissie & Taz, the perfect way to recharge before getting back to the job.
