Blackdown Property Services is a local, family run building company operating across Devon and Someset.

We cover all aspects of construction and home improvement so whether you are looking for a carpenter to hang some new internal doors, refit your kitchen, have an extension built and pretty much everything in between we can help. We offer a comprehensive, competitive, honest, and reliable building service and are committed to developing a trust between the company and our customers. By listening to

our clients, offering relevant, factual help and advice throughout every project and ensuring close attention to detail and excellent workmanship, we believe results in complete customer satisfaction. No matter how big or small the project we oversee everything from start to finish so you always have a single point of contact, we have developed strong working relationships with local specialist subcontractors to give us a multi skilled workforce. By keeping a close-knit team, all of whom are passionate about what we do, we believe is really important to the success of any project. Whether you are just starting to think about a project and would like some advice or have detailed plans prepared by your own architect, we would love to hear from you. Our experience has taught us the need to be flexible as we know that every client will have different requirements and priorities. Whilst we are glad to offer help and guidance with any project, we feel communication is key from the early stages, throughout the build to final completion and we understand it is so important to listen to our clients and ensure their requirements are met in full. Very often “site” is still your home so it is critical all our staff respect this and we strive to keep disruption to a minimum and keep the site as tidy as possible, such a simple practice costs very little to achieve, but can make such a difference and can all to easily be overlooked. Blackdown Property Services are proud to be members of the Federation of Master Builders, Trustmark approved and a member of the Chartered Institute of Building. We have full Employers and Public Liability Insurance for everyone’s peace of mind.

Blackdown Property Services are proud to be supporting Ed Olsen who is running the London Marathon this year on behalf of SeeAbility.

Ed worked as part of our small team during the summer holidays while he was studying for his A levels and then when he left school before going on to pastures new.

For Ed, this is a fantastic personal challenge earning himself a place in the 2025 London Marathon also raising funds for the amazing charity SeeAbility, a charity which supports people who have learning disabilities or autism, who may have also lost their sight enabling them to live full lives and achieve things they never thought possible.
Except for running to catch a bus or train, Ed has never run for anything before! Over the last 6 months, he has devoted all his spare time to fitness and training, running his first half marathon on New Years Day and several more since then. With only a month left to go Ed is ready to run but still needs to raise some more donations for his charity. If anyone reading this is able to make a donation, rest assured your gift will help fund much needed expertise and equipment that makes all the difference in helping people to overcome huge barriers to achieve exciting new things every day which most of us take for granted.
