Gloster Meteor undercarriage selector (Cont pg5 No11)
This is an undercarriage selector from an early Gloster Meteor. It has come from a crashed aircraft and been cleaned the levers are currently seized.
The Gloster Meteor holds a permanent place in aviation history as the first British jet fighter and the only Allied jet aircraft to see combat during World War II.
It represented a massive leap from the piston-engine era into the Jet Age.
he Meteor entered service with the RAF’s No. 616 Squadron in July 1944. Its career was long and varied:

V-1 "Doodlebug" Hunter: Its primary role in WWII was intercepting German V-1 flying bombs.
Since it was faster than piston-engine fighters, pilots would often fly alongside the V-1 and use their wingtip to "flip" the bomb, disrupting its gyroscope and crashing it before it reached London.

The Korean War: The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) flew Meteors against Soviet-built MiG-15s. While the Meteor was outclassed in high-altitude dogfights by the swept-wing MiGs, it excelled in ground-attack roles.

Variants: Beyond a fighter, it served as a night fighter (with a radar nose), a photo-reconnaissance aircraft, and a two-seat trainer.

Spitfire Type P8 Compass (Pg 5 Compasses and Clocks 86)
Here we have a Type P8 M Compass.
Used almost exclusively in the Spitfire but it is found in other fighter aircraft.
This one is in nice complete condition and has at some stage been stripped of its paint which trust me is a big task .it offers a great opportunity to really make it shine as they polish up really well being solid brass.
The fluid has long since drained away but it still works.

Gee MK II Indicator Unit Type 62A (No 32 Pg 1 Rad)
Here we have a British Indicator Unit Type 62A (Stores Reference 10Q/37), a primary component of the GEE Mark II airborne radio-navigation system. Developed during World War II, the GEE system provided RAF navigators with a highly accurate method for determining an aircraft's position by measuring the time delay between radio pulses sent from synchronized ground stations.
Technical Specifications & History
System Function: Hyperbolic navigation using "Master" and "Slave" (B and C) pulse signals.
Display: Utilizes a VCR97 6-inch Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) to visualize electronic "blips".
Original Military Controls: Features the characteristic color-coded k***s used by the RAF: Yellow (Focus), Blue (Brilliance), White (B-pulse Fine), and Red (C-pulse Fine and Gain).
Post-War Modification: This unit has been repurposed as a laboratory oscilloscope. The handwritten labels for "SYNC" and "Y AMP" are non-military additions, likely made when the unit was sold as government surplus for educational or hobbyist use.
The Type 62A was essential equipment for heavy bombers like the Avro Lancaster, allowing crews to navigate the night skies of Europe without emitting detectable radar signals.

MK I to MK V AH2174 Spitfire Reproduction Spade Grip (Cont pg3 No 36)
Here we have a Spitfire reproduction spade grip. This one of the best repros I have come across, its a one off and someone has spent allot of time getting it right.
The gun button depresses as it should although the safety ring is fixed. The brake lever is alloy and has been drilled correctly with slots added for the brake cable. The main body has a very realistic appearance with thre part number showing. This grip was used by Spitfires only MK I to MK V. The body even has the slots cut into it as per the original.
For display purposes its hard to tell apart from the very rare and expensive original.
