As the year comes to a close, we’d like to say a huge thank you to all our clients and customers, old and new, for your continued support throughout the past year. It’s been a busy one and we’re truly grateful for the trust you place in us on every lift.

A special shoutout to our crane manager Paul and our fantastic crane drivers. They’re the only team we’d want to hang a bauble on a tree from 50 meters up - though we’re still trying to convince them that our 50-ton crane is "overkill" for the office tinsel 🏗️🎄

🎉 Celebrating Two Major Milestones 🎉

This month marks 23 years since M E Bishop Carpentry Ltd was founded, and last week we celebrated 5 years in the MEB HQ - a space we moved to and renovated to support the growth of our MEB Crane division.

Founded in 2002 as a carpentry business, we have grown into a company we are truly proud of:

🪚 A carpentry team of over 75 skilled subcontractors, working across Shropshire, Staffordshire and beyond.
🚧 A crane hire operation serving customers far and wide, with no job too big and no detail overlooked.

Our office move 5 years ago was more than a change of address - it was a step towards the future. The renovations provided the space and facilities we needed to expand, work more efficiently and reflect the ambition of both Carpentry and Crane.

We want to say a huge thanks to our dedicated teams, valued subcontractors and loyal customers. These milestones are a testament to your commitment and support.

Threading the needle… but with cranes 🏗️

Last week we worked with the team at Now Engineering on a job for one of their key customers at a clingfilm manufacturing plant in Telford-— and let’s just say… it wasn’t your average lift!

👉 The space? Tighter than a cling-wrapped sandwich
👉 The precision? Millimetre-perfect
👉 The pressure? Very real

Our newest team member James absolutely smashed it - taking on one of the tightest working areas we’ve seen and handling it with a calm, careful approach that takes years to master.

To pull it off, we brought in the full crew:
🔹 Liebherr LTM 1050
🔹 Fassi 710
🔹 And not one, but two Versa Lifts

Every inch of space was used, and every move had to be spot-on - there was zero room for error. But thanks to brilliant teamwork and spot-on coordination across the board, we got the job done✅

💥 Double Trouble: When the Böcker Brought Backup! 🚧

We recently wrapped up a plant room swap that needed a bit more muscle than usual...so we brought out the dream team: our Lorry Loader and the Böcker crane.

These two worked in perfect sync to lift and shift with no fuss. Everything lined up just right and the whole job flowed from start to finish.

With a solid plan, a great crew and the right kit - the whole lift went off without a hitch 👌💪

Whether it’s rooftop lifts, new builds or plant room swaps - we’re always up for a challenge.

🚛 Friday afternoon prep, Monday morning lift-off! 🚛

Our Lorry Loader rolled back into the yard this afternoon, loaded up and ready for Monday. Everything safely secured, checked over, and good to go - there’s nothing like heading into the weekend knowing the next job’s lined up and prepped.

From hot tubs, swim spas and garden rooms to roof trusses and steel beams - we’ve lifted all sorts over the years! No two jobs are the same, but they all start with good planning, the right gear and a team that knows what they’re doing.
