A food machinery OEM needed to ensure airborne vegetable oil mist generated when release agents are sprayed did not become an issue for end-users of its cake making production lines.

Filtermist recommended installing stainless steel FX4002 oil mist collectors on each production line to effectively control airborne mist particles.

By capturing oil mist at source, Filtermist helped support a cleaner production environment and reduce oily deposits on surrounding equipment.

Where does oil mist go?

It doesn't simply disappear.

Airborne oil mist can settle on machinery, ductwork and surrounding surfaces, increasing cleaning requirements and creating greasy production environments.

But in food manufacturing, the risk goes further.

If effective extraction isn't used, oil mist can gather on equipment and surfaces and potentially drip onto food products. When this happens, products can become contaminated and may need to be disposed of.

Oil mist control isn't just about cleaner air. It's about protecting your production and your product.

Oil mist isn't just an engineering workshop issue.

Cooking, frying, baking and oil spraying processes can all generate airborne oil mist.

Left unmanaged, it can settle on equipment, increase housekeeping and affect the production environment.

Capturing oil mist at source helps create cleaner, safer food manufacturing facilities.
