Hi all,
With the rising prices of gas, electric, oil & everything there are too many people in our county that will need to choose between heating and food.
We have seen minus Degree weather for over a week now.
Last night we had a call from a concerned neighbour that an 82 year old lady hadn’t had any heating for 4 days as her boiler had broken down & sadly she couldn’t afford to call anyone out to look.
We agreed to visit & we’re able to get her heating running within 10 minutes! Free of charge.
We also checked all her radiators and asked if she had enough food, Gas & electric for the next few weeks.
PLEASE PLEASE check on your vulnerable and elderly neighbours, family and friends.
It was -9 getting into the van this morning!
If there’s an issue with their boiler or heating in any way I would hate for them to not get it sorted because of the cost.
A lot of times it’s something really simple like a frozen condense pipe, under pressure boiler, broken diaphragm in the expansion vessel etc and unfortunately you get some companies who will charge a fortune for simple work.
If you are in a council/ housing association or rented property, please contact your landlord.
By law they have to ensure you have heating and hot water.
So to anyone in desperate need & are going to literally freeze in their own homes as they can’t afford to call someone out, I’d like you to save my number and should anything go wrong with your heating I will do everything i possibly can to sort it out, Free of charge.
If it’s a bigger job and large parts required & we can’t get it running, In the past we have enlisted the help of large boiler companies & local merchants to help donate things,
