Huge congratulations to Jack Dale from Tenterden & District Men’s Shed, who was surprised and honoured to receive the Volunteer of the Year Award at the Ashford Hero Awards on Friday night

Jack has asked that the recognition be shared, and quite rightly so. He has paid tribute to the incredible team at Tenterden & District Men’s Shed, saying that the real winners are the group themselves – with special thanks to Bruce, Bob G, Bob S, Andy, Lawrence and Clare, along with all the other dedicated members who make the Shed such a positive and supportive place in our community.

Jack also extended his thanks to the organisers of this terrific event and offered congratulations to The Mildred Trust, winners of The Tenterden Vine Award – a very well-deserved achievement.

KPC are hiring, We are currently looking for a Drywall Estimator to join our Team!

Job Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Drywall Estimator at KPC Group, located at our Tenterden Office. The Drywall Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project drawings and specifications, preparing cost estimates, scrutinising labour and material costs, collaborating with construction project managers and assessing risks associated with specific projects. Daily tasks will include communicating with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing, managing bid proposals, and ensuring accurate project budgeting from start to finish.

Qualifications

Strong analytical skills to interpret project drawings and specifications and estimate costs accurately.
Experience in cost estimation, budget preparation, and financial analysis within the construction industry.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills for collaborating with suppliers, subcontractors, and project managers.
Proficiency in using estimating software and other relevant computer applications.
Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Relevant qualification in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
Previous experience as a drywall estimator or in a similar role is advantageous.
