So this was a head scratch project. A simple garage door right? (When decorating doesnโt go to plan)
Sanded the whole garage door back to bare wood, shook tin to get the sediment mixing in with the dye. Applied dye and even though the same colour on the tin (seperate tins bought) the shades were way off. Even getting different colour shades from the same tin!
Myself and my understanding client both scratching are heads and the process I followed should have resulted in an even dye.
However, it did not. Sanded back the door to bare wood again and opted for sadolin all in one dye and varnish. Did the trick!
