Managing noise and disruption on urban construction sites presents unique challenges, particularly when working close to residential and commercial areas.

The SVEA SoundPanel is an effective solution that helps reduce site noise by up to 25 decibels, significantly lessening the impact on nearby communities. Its adjustable height, up to 4 metres, and flexible design make it a perfect fit for constrained urban spaces, providing both noise reduction and enhanced privacy without compromising site safety.

At Chevron Traffic Management, we’ve implemented SVEA SoundPanels on numerous projects nationwide. Their proven effectiveness in reducing noise and improving site conditions has made them a trusted choice for urban developments where maintaining good community relations is essential,

Why it starts at the design stage🚦

How can we design traffic management solutions that not only keep people safe but also minimise disruption and be truly inclusive?

At Chevron Traffic Management, we’re asking precisely that. By providing our designers with more focused training, we ensure inclusivity is a key consideration from the earliest stages of our design process, taking into account accessibility and minimising the impact on everyday life.

As Chris Morley, MD of our Urban Solutions division, explains, innovation is a key focus for us. We go beyond enhancing current solutions by collaborating with industry professionals to spot gaps in the market and create innovative, practical products to address them.

RBLI (Royal British Legion Industries) Tommy Trek Sponsored by Chevron Traffic Management for the Second Year in a Row 🌧️🚶‍♂️

This weekend, we were honoured to sponsor the 40K Tommy Trek for the second consecutive year, a powerful fundraising challenge held in commemoration of the D-Day Landings in 1944. This sponsorship is a testament to our unwavering commitment to supporting our veterans.

Participants, displaying remarkable perseverance, undertook the trek overnight, in relentless rain, walking 40 kilometres along the historic Pilgrims Way. The route began at our Veterans’ Village in Aylesford and concluded in the beautiful village of Boughton Aluph, a moving journey that paid tribute to the courage and sacrifice of those who served.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the participants and supporters who made this event possible. A special mention goes to our own Keith Smith, Chief Engineer, and Stuart Abram, Bid Director, who braved the challenging conditions to take part. We’re incredibly proud of their commitment and of everyone who supported this meaningful cause.

It’s a privilege to support the RBLI and the vital work they do in providing housing, employment, and support to veterans and their families throughout the UK.

Why we use the HRS Intellicone Incursion Prevention & Warning System on our EMCC Vehicles.

Safety is at the heart of everything we do at Chevron Traffic Management. That’s why every EMCC vehicle we deploy is equipped with the HRS Intellicone Incursion Prevention & Warning System (IPAWS).

From real-time audible alerts and geo-fenced monitoring to automatic CCTV activation, IPAWS gives our teams the critical time they need to respond to live carriageway incursions, helping us protect workers and raise the standard of high-speed traffic management.

Designing with everyone in mind. Why inclusive and considerate thinking is key to modern traffic management 🛣️

Chris Morley, MD of our Urban Solutions division, recently joined Lisa Killinger and Jade Cresswell on the Extra Mile podcast hosted by Highways Industry alongside special guest Michael Barratt MBE, TfL’s Construction Advisory & Innovations Manager.

Together, they unpack the power of inclusive design, not just as a concept, but as a practical approach that leads to safer, more efficient urban environments for all.

The conversation covered key topics such as:

âś… The importance of considerate designing with all everyone in mind

âś… Real-world challenges in urban planning

âś… How collaboration across industry and public bodies drives better outcomes for all

âś… Practical ways to embed accessibility in infrastructure projects

Whether you're working in highways, infrastructure, or urban design, this episode offers valuable insights into building more inclusive, people centred environments.

🌿Pedestrian Walkway Mat for ground protection in green areas🌿

We're thrilled to share a recent project where our teams successfully installed 320 metres (18 tonnes) of Pedestrian Walkway Mat, over just two days for M Group in Enfield, London. This installation is part of works for National Grid as part of the great grid upgrade.

Our dedicated Chevron Green Services team prepared the land to ensure efficient matting installation. Meanwhile, as part of the TM plan, we managed traffic by diverting pedestrians from a canal path to a temporary established walkway through the scenic green area.

This collaboration showcases our commitment to enhancing pedestrian safety while supporting essential infrastructure upgrades for utility companies. If you're looking for reliable solutions in pedestrian walkways and traffic management, we're here to support your projects with precision and care.
