Progress continues at one of our projects in Wighton, where we’ve been carrying out a range of groundwork and landscaping work.

From constructing a temporary access road and car park, to removing a significant number of tree stumps, laying turf, and carefully scraping and levelling areas with topsoil, each element plays its part in preparing the site for what comes next.

A wonderful setting to work in. 🌳☀️🏠

Today, we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers and father figures whose guidance, care and quiet support leave a lasting impact.

We also recognise that Father’s Day can mean different things to different people. For some, it is a day of celebration; for others, it may bring feelings of loss, longing or reflection. Whatever today looks like for you, we hope you find a moment of comfort, gratitude or connection in your own way.

From all of us, we wish those celebrating a very Happy Father’s Day, and send our thoughts to anyone for whom today may feel a little more difficult.

A little project we completed a couple of weeks ago for one of our lovely returning customers, just in time for the Open Gardens.

We added a decorative trellis panel to the rear wall, alongside a boarded frame for this beautiful stone mirror. A bespoke brick plinth and layer of lead completed the installation, bringing together a carefully considered finish.

It’s always a pleasure to work with returning clients, and projects like these are a reminder that often it’s the smaller details that make a space feel truly special.

Having joined this project some time ago for Ottoway LLP, we have been providing the drainage elements of this project, and are looking forward to completing the hard landscaping. While much of our work here so far goes unseen, it plays an important role in creating a home that is functional, enduring and thoughtfully finished.

We have been super busy behind the scenes, so we are only now getting round to showing you in more detail the steel reinforcement on one of our projects👷. This was a super interesting one due to having numerous different levels for the cages, alongside the curve throughout the retaining wall and the conditions of the ground were definitely not on our side!

Despite all of this, our team overcome these challenges through careful planning, technical accuracy and attention to detail to ensure the steel reinforcement was fitted in accordance with the plans and structural engineer’s bar bending schedule. Making sure we get the foundations right to ensure everything that follows has the support it needs🤝🧱.

A project we recently completed with Ward Electrical Contractors installing around 30 outdoor lights, including LED and bollard lights for the driveway and parking area we installed for this property. Our role included digging the trenches for the underground cabling to the lights, making up all the boxes and then backfilling once the electricians had installed all the cable and set up the control unit.
