A reduction in red diesel duty is coming into effect from the 15th June 2026, providing some cost relief for farms and businesses that rely on fuel to keep their operations moving.

The duty rate will decrease from 10.18p per litre to 6.48p per litre and will remain at this level until 31st December 2026.

For many agricultural businesses, fuel remains one of the largest operational costs. While temporary, this change may help reduce expenditure during what is often a busy period of the year.
