As Karpa Engineering continues to grow and take on projects across the UK and further afield, we’re looking to expand our network of trusted, experienced subcontractors.

We want to hear from:

🏗️ Machine Movers / Riggers

We work on everything from machinery installations and relocations to factory shutdowns, breakdowns, refurbishments and complete factory removals — so the work can be varied, challenging and sometimes in some pretty interesting places!

We’re looking for good people who know their trade, work safely, turn up when they say they will and take pride in getting the job done properly.

This isn’t necessarily about filling one particular job today — we’re building a strong network of subcontractors we can call on as projects come in.

Remember that 4-tonne screw conveyor we removed after an emergency breakdown?

Repairs complete ✅
Customer waiting ✅
Easy access back into the factory… absolutely not. 😂

Time for the Valla to earn its keep again.

This time the team had to carry the repaired screw conveyor back into the factory, negotiate the restricted access and get 4 tonnes of machinery exactly where it needed to be.

No drama. No massive crane taking over half the site. Just the right bit of kit, some very careful manoeuvring and a Karpa team that knows exactly what it’s doing. 👌

There’s something very satisfying about watching the Valla carry 4 tonnes through a factory like it’s bringing the shopping in. 😂💪

Breakdown ➡️ Removal ➡️ Repair ➡️ Reinstallation.

🚨 BREAKDOWN. 4-TONNE SCREW CONVEYOR. TIGHTER THAN A DUCK’S… WELL, YOU GET THE IDEA. 😬😂

An emergency call-out meant there wasn’t much time for standing around scratching heads on this one.

The customer needed a 4-tonne screw conveyor removed, sent away for repair then installed, with access that could politely be described as… tight. Very tight. 👀

Luckily, this is exactly where our Valla comes into its own. 💪

Watching it squeeze into position and manoeuvre 4 tonnes of equipment in such a restricted space is impressive — but the real credit goes to the Karpa lads operating it.

Millimetres matter.
Communication matters.
Experience REALLY matters.

And somehow, they still make it look easy. 👏

Breakdown? Awkward access? Heavy bit of kit that needs moving yesterday?

As our Engineering Manager, Callum is always the one making sure projects run smoothly, solving problems, and leading from the front. Today, we’ve managed to get him to slow down for at least five minutes… although we’re not sure if it was for the birthday celebrations or the dessert! 😄

A proper job. Done properly. 👌

There’s something satisfying about seeing a load that’s been sheeted and secured the right way.

Joe Calf was out this week doing what he enjoys most, making sure another piece of machinery reaches its destination safely. Taking the time to sheet a load properly isn’t just about looking tidy – it’s about protecting the equipment, keeping other road users safe, and showing pride in your work.

Unfortunately, it’s becoming a bit of a lost art these days.

At Karpa Engineering, we still believe the little things matter. Whether it’s dismantling a factory, transporting heavy machinery, or delivering specialist equipment, we treat every job with the same level of care and professionalism.

Another busy week for the Karpa Engineering team as we continue the refurbishment of a 5 Daylight Press for one of our valued customers.

Every refurbishment is about more than simply replacing worn components. It’s about restoring reliability, improving performance, and extending the operational life of critical production equipment.

Our engineers are carrying out the work with the precision, care and attention to detail that our customers have come to expect, ensuring the press returns to service operating safely and efficiently for years to come.
