Great to spend time at MACH Show 2026 this week.

It’s always a valuable opportunity to get out of the day-to-day and see the latest advancements in manufacturing technology. As usual, there was plenty to take in and bring back to the business (and a huge shopping list of shiny things that would come in super useful at Bon HQ).

Equally important was the chance to catch up with customers, sharing a few drinks, having proper conversations, and strengthening those relationships that really matter.

We also spent time with some of our key suppliers, including Star Micronics GB CERATIZIT UK & IRELAND, and Sharmic, learning more about their latest innovations and how these can support our business with quality, efficiency, and precision.

We've jumped on the AI trend of making a caricature of us doing our jobs...

Very pleased that I got the mug with 'Boss' on it... Which is obviously how it is. And that the dog features in the picture, as if he is really busy and hardworking, when all he does is sleep and scrounge for biscuits...

As owners of a small business, which John Garner launched in the middle of the pandemic in 2020 - we had an interesting perspective on what has been a very strange (yet rewarding) decade so far!

It's new machine delivery day at Bon Precision Engineering!

We’ve taken delivery of a brand new Star Micronics GB SD-26 sliding head CNC machine, which is currently being installed and commissioned at Bon Precision Towers.

This latest investment increases our machining capacity once again and allows us to take on a wider range of work, with the ability to produce precision components up to 26mm diameter.

We’re aiming to be up and running and making parts by Friday, and with a busy order book already in place, the new machine will be put through its paces as soon as it's ready to go!
