So much to report, so much progress being made, not enough regular Facebook updates..........!! All trades working so well, and the end is now firmly in sight!! Exciting times. And a little visitor on site today - giving it her seal of approval 🥰

Progress continues at pace on the Church as we near the end of Jan. Doors, skirting & architraves coming along and the flooring is nearing completion on the 1st floor too! Decorating rapidly getting done on the ground floor, extension & 1st floor. Outside the lads have been braving the cold with paving and stone walls rising from the ground at pace!

Great performance lads!! Well done Charlie on taking home our MOTM award.

The lads followed up last week’s performance with another dominant display against a decent Hackleton side.

An even opening half hour saw both sides have half chances and a couple of tight offside calls for the visitors meant it remained level.

We continually looked threatening from set pieces and it was no surprise that the opening goal came from a long throw from Billy, with Kyle reacting first to prod the ball home to open the scoring (35).

The half time team talk centred around continuing to play football, pressing high and getting the all-important 2nd goal. That came early from Dylan, who raced away from a lovely clipped through ball to slot confidently home (50).

The lads dominated the 2nd half, playing some lovely football, getting a deserved 3rd from another set piece that Kyle finished with a fine header (69).

The move and goal of the match (maybe the season!) came late on as Charlie played an outrageous through ball with the outside of his boot to Dylan, who raced away, drilled a superb first time cross in for Kyle to complete his hatrick (77)!! A perfect way to end a great day for the lads.

Some outstanding performances today from Danny, Kyle, Dylan, Billy, Jack and James - but Charlie just edged it with a great performance in the centre of the park, getting on the ball throughout, showing great energy box to box and getting us playing.

End of another busy week for the teams - and what better way to end, than with some great before and after shots of the residential extension we’ve been working on.

All the exterior is now complete and waterproof, with the RWGs done today.

We do love a good before and after photo…….!

The team working on the Church School Room definately had the better idea being indoors! Great progress made with the Posi Joists installed & initial staircase framing in place.

Making the most of the glorious weather today on our residential extension build!

Roof battens & membrane on, 3x Velux electric centre pivot windows installed - and over 2 tonnes of Roof Tiles carried up and in place ready to start being laid tomorrow 💪💪

Tough day for the lads, but well done to Kyle for taking home our MOM award - very well deserved. Special mention to our very own Charlie Lake for getting his 1st goal for the club!!

A tough afternoon for the lads, low on numbers but a strong, 13-man squad nonetheless, and we expected more.

Trailing to a long ball over the top and a good finish after 10 minutes, we responded well, and a great set piece routine saw Kyle set it perfectly for Charlie to slot home for his first goal of the season after 20 minutes.

2 mistakes at the back let Welford back in the game as we trailed 3-1 at HT.

A second half performance full of effort and determination - just lacking a bit of quality & composure in the final third, saw no change to the scoreline.

We regroup, we take it on the chin and go again next week.

MOTM was Kyle for some outstanding hold up play, great running throughout, and showing real leadership out there.
