At the weekend we took our small business based in central Scotland south of the border to the 2026 National Street Rod Association UK Hot Rod Supernationals, where we would display a pro street Mk1 Zodiac that we have been building for a very good customer of ours over the past four years.
It had been a busy spell in the workshop on the run upto the show to get the car to a stage where it would run & drive and would be able to be put on display to represent what we do. We also took along some other fabricated parts from the workshop to let people see in detail some of the services we offer.
Our little trade stand was really busy with people coming & going all weekend, alot of people taking the time to chat to us and we were humbled by people's reactions and comments about the Zodiac.
The highlight of the weekend was winning the NSRA Engineering Excellence trophy π for the Zodiac build, a complete shock to us given the standard of all the cars at supernats and the vast amount of cars there.
We would like to thank all the Scottish hot rodding crew that came to help us set up on the Friday and continue to assist us over the weekend, we'd also like to thank NSRA for putting on such an amazing show at an absolutely breathtaking venue, every single member from NSRA we had dealings with couldn't have been any nicer or more helpful. All in all an very successful weekend and we are still absolutely buzzing from winning an award for one of our builds. Hopefully the pictures paint a better picture than me rambling on. π
Also thank you to anyone who purchased a Hamilton Racing T shirt or Hoodie over the weekend, every little bit helps us out!
Huge congratulations to Andy Park on winning the Spirit of Hot Rodding award for his commitment to the hot rodding scene/community over the years, well deserved laud π
Lastly I'd like to thank my better half, Bethany Gibbon, without Beth pushing me and helping with absolutely everything on the run upto Supernats & during the whole weekend, we simply wouldn't have been there!
What an absolutely epic scene to be a part of!
