What should access look like in the years ahead?

It's a simple question, but the answer is becoming increasingly complex.
Security requirements are evolving. Cybersecurity is now a critical consideration. Organisations are expected to think further ahead about resilience, compliance and long-term investment. At the same time, users still expect access solutions that are intuitive, reliable and easy to live with every day.

That's the challenge we set ourselves.

In recent years, we've taken a close look at what modern access control hardware needs to deliver, not just for today's projects, but for the expectations and environments of tomorrow.

The result is a new generation of DOM access solutions.

Built around five key pillars, the range introduces significant advances for the user experience:

• Cybersecurity – Secure Element technology help organisations prepare for an increasingly connected world and evolving security requirements.
• Flexibility - Hardware can now be deployed with either the DOM ENiQ platform or Tapkey, reducing complexity and giving customers greater freedom to choose the access-control solution that best fits their needs.
• Maintenance - Simplified servicing and administration help support installers, administrators and end users throughout the product lifecycle.
• Design - Refined aesthetics and thoughtful engineering enhance both everyday interaction and integration into a wider range of environments.
None of these developments exists in isolation. Together, they create access solutions that are easier to specify, easier to manage and better prepared for the challenges ahead.

This is more than an update. It is the next step in DOM access control.

Located in Ascot, Berkshire, LVS Ascot is an independent school with more than 200 years of history.

LVS Ascot had already been using a DOM Sigma Plus® Master Key System across approximately 130 cylinders when additional buildings required securing.

Working with trusted local locksmith Croma Locksmiths Ascot, the school extended its existing suite rather than replacing it, ensuring complete compatibility while keeping key management simple. The extension also helped prepare the school for the introduction of Martyn’s Law by improving emergency access throughout the site.

“I am extremely happy with Ascot Locks and the DOM Sigma cylinders, having used the master key suite for a few years there have been no issues and getting new cylinders are quick and easy,” commented John, Facilities Manager at LVS.

A big thank you to our DOM Sicherheitstechnik colleagues for hosting us at last week’s eNET workshop. 🤝

We’re incredibly proud to offer our customers DOM eNET, our 24/7 online ordering platform, and it was great to hear how the platform is being used across the different DOM companies.

Hearing the positive experiences from each country was genuinely inspiring, but just as valuable was sharing what we’ve each learnt along the way. We’ve come back with some great ideas and opportunities to further improve the eNET experience for our customers here in the UK.

And what a setting for the evening event – surrounded by Michael Schumacher’s private car collection! 🏎️ A truly special location to round off a valuable couple of days.

A big thank you to Aleks and Michael from DOM Sicherheitstechnik GmbH & Co. KG for joining us at DOM UK over the past two days.

The training sessions gave our team an insight into some exciting access control product developments planned for later this year, as well as a closer look at the powerful software packages behind our solutions and the flexibility they can provide across a site.

Flexiform has been appointed to the Scotland Excel Education and Office Furniture Framework 0125 under Lot 5 – Office Furniture and Lot 6 – Office Full Kit Out. Running until November 2029, the framework enables Scottish councils to procure a wide range of workplace solutions.

As a long-standing customer of DOM UK, Flexiform incorporates DOM locking technology into its furniture projects to provide secure and practical storage solutions for modern workplaces.

We’ve become real supporters of what Stand Out Socks is working to achieve. With fewer than 5% of adults with a learning disability in the UK in paid employment, their mission is to create meaningful paid jobs, challenge stereotypes and help build a more inclusive future.

Thank you to the Master Locksmiths Association MLA London Region for having us last night at the Moby Dick Toby Carvery in Romford. It was a pleasure to join you again for our first visit in 18 months!

The evening was hosted by DOM’s Head of Sales, Owen Boothby, who was joined by our new Regional Sales Manager, David Dawes.

The session took a closer look at DOM rs Sirius®, including its proven TS007 3-Star certification, patented key protection approved until 2043, security features and master key capabilities.

Owen also demonstrated the DOM eNet 24/7 ordering platform and how it makes ordering simpler and more convenient for our customers.

We’re proud to be an MLA member and always enjoy the opportunity to support these regional meetings, share our latest developments and catch up with locksmiths from across the industry.
