🔨 MEET OUR SPONSORS – RC CONSTRUCTION🔨

Today we’re putting the spotlight on another very local business – Ryan Cottrell and the team at RC Construction.

Ryan will already be a familiar face to plenty of people around Bampton and the surrounding villages, but you might not realise quite how much his team can turn their hands to!

Based just up the road in Morebath, RC Construction takes on projects from the ground up – including new builds, extensions, renovations and conversions, as well as the groundworks, brickwork and landscaping that go with them.

So whether it’s creating a new home, breathing new life into an existing property, converting a barn or adding that long-planned extension, Ryan and his team can take on a pretty impressive range of work. They’re also members of the Federation of Master Builders, reflecting the breadth of skills within the business.

And this one feels particularly local to us. Ryan isn't simply a business owner working in the area – he’s a familiar part of the community (and some of you may even remember him pulling on a Bampton football shirt!).

That’s why we’re especially pleased to have RC Construction supporting Bampton Charter Fair 2026.

Our sponsors aren't just names on a banner. They are local people and businesses choosing to put something back into the communities in which they live and work – and their generosity makes a genuine difference to what we can put on for everyone on Fair Day.

So a huge thank you to Ryan and all the team at RC Construction for getting behind the Fair. We’re very grateful to have you on board! 🎪👏

Every successful build starts with a solid foundation—but sometimes that means overcoming some serious challenges first.

This project began with the careful demolition of an existing property that had reached the end of its life. Working alongside an occupied neighbouring cob cottage meant every stage had to be meticulously planned and executed.

Complex reinforced concrete foundations on difficult clay ground
Extensive structural steelwork to support the existing property
Reinforced foundations
Traditional roof construction with engineered timber trusses
High-quality blockwork and structural masonry throughout

Months of planning, teamwork and craftsmanship have transformed this site from demolition to a substantial new family home, and we’re proud of the progress our team has made.

A huge thank you to our staff, subcontractors, suppliers and the client for their trust throughout this journey. We can’t wait to share the finished result.

If you’re planning a new build, major renovation or structural project, we’d love to hear from you.

Exciting new project underway!

Our team has recently started work at Nutwell Cottage, where we’re carrying out a substantial extension and full renovation to transform this property into a modern family home while respecting its original character.

The first phase has included: Careful demolition of the existing extension
Site clearance and preparation
Setting out the extension

Concrete foundations poured and ready for the next stage

Every successful project starts with solid foundations, and it’s great to see this one taking shape.

Over the coming months we’ll be sharing regular updates as the new extension, structural alterations and finishing works come together.
