🟥Graticules Optics Granted AUKUS membership🟦

Graticules Optics are delighted to be approved to join the UK Authorised User Community (AUC), our AUKUS Authorized User membership number is AUK0001949, thereby giving us eligibility to participate in activities under ITAR 126.7 exemption.

This approval permits the export of dual-use items or military goods software or technology and trade of military goods, to, between and among Australia, the US and the UK (the AUKUS nations). This includes re-exporting goods, software or technology to and from the AUKUS nations, even if they have been incorporated into other products.

The Secretary of State hereby grants this Open General Licence under article 26 of the Export Control Order 2008 (S.I. 2008/3231, as amended) and for dual-use goods.

Graticules manufacturers reticles (etch & fill, chrome, or foil), reticle assemblies, apertures and targets that are commonly used in these defence applications. 75 years technical experience ensures we can satisfy the requirements of this market.

Graticules is pleased to offer both standard and custom products manufactured on premium Nextrema®, a high-performance glass-ceramic known for its excellent stability and optical properties.

Available designs on this white glass include reticles, resolution test targets, Ronchi rulings, calibration scales, dot arrays, and chessboard patterns, providing enhanced contrast and clarity for demanding imaging applications.

🚗 Image Distortion Test Slides for the Automotive Glass Industry 🚗

We offer a comprehensive range of image distortion test slides specifically designed for the automotive glass industry.

With the tightening of regulations through BS857:1967, DIN52305, and EC43 standards, the optical testing of vehicle windscreens has become more stringent than ever. These standards define precise testing methods for key parameters including angular deviation, refractive power, and optical distortion. Compliance is essential for windscreen manufacturers.

All approved optical test methods use specialised patterned glass to produce projected images that are then analysed for accuracy and distortion.

Our slides are manufactured on standard 50 mm × 50 mm B270 optical glass. All standard designs are optimised for projectors with a 90 mm focal length and a projection distance of 8 metres.

Why do USAF Resolution Charts Matter in Imaging Performance?

USAF resolution charts are recognised worldwide as a universal standard for testing both vertical and horizontal resolution in imaging systems.
Each chart element consists of three vertical bars and three horizontal bars, allowing precise evaluation of system performance. The level of detail is impressive — reaching resolutions as fine as 0.78 microns, equivalent to 644 line pairs per millimetre.
An imaging system’s resolving power is typically specified by identifying the Group and Element corresponding to the finest set of bars that can be clearly distinguished.
A simple concept, but a powerful and globally trusted benchmark for optical performance.

The R74 Thermal Imaging Test Chart is designed for precision resolution testing of thermal, Far IR, UV, and X-ray imaging systems.
Its dual-material electroformed construction features a blackened 100 mm copper foil with a finely patterned central nickel foil, delivering a clear optical air-path that eliminates chromatic and absorption issues found in solid substrates.

We’re proud to offer two high-precision s***m counting chambers in our range: Makler and Shukratara.
Both chambers share identical specifications and are used in exactly the same way, delivering reliable and consistent performance in the laboratory.
Recent evaluations have shown no significant difference in s***m counting efficacy between the two chambers. They function equivalently, producing comparable and dependable results.
