In our latest blog we use the Body Rocket FIT+ system to explore the biomechanical difference from conducing a bike fit in a โcoldโ and a โwarmโ state. The answer?
๐๐ป ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐น๐ ๐ฝ๐ต๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐บ๐๐ฝ:โจ- Hamstring stiffness reduces by 10.3% as the athlete shifts from a stiff hamstring strategy to a warmed quadricep strategy. โจ- Saddle movement and rocking are reduced.
- Saddle position shifts several centimetres back.
The rider starts to get comfortable.
- Weight distribution across the saddle, pedals and handlebars finally plateaus.
- Lateral saddle position shifts too. As the body warms and loosens up the rider finds a steadier state, becoming more consistent across the saddle.

The threshold for accuracy is a minimum of a 12 minute warmup. Bike fitters must allow this window for the rider to warm up to achieve a reliable and repeatable fit which mirrors that of the real world.
