Heating that's better for everyone The UK’s heating system is stuck in the past, costing people and the planet too much.

We think it’s time for an upgrade. Kensa have been ground source heat pump pioneers since 1999. Now we want to help millions stay comfortable all year round with clean, affordable, zero-carbon energy. We achieve this through our ground source and networked heat pumps. It’s time to end the era of high bills and high emissions. Let’s make heating better for everyone.

Heatwave got you thinking about keeping cool? ☀️

Ground source heat pumps can do more than heat your home. With a simple passive cooling module, they use the ground’s natural temperature to keep things comfortable in summer - low energy, low cost, no external air con unit needed.

We’ve arrived at All Energy! 📍

You can find us on Stand K66 today and tomorrow. It’s a cosy spot, but we think it suits us perfectly. We’re taking inspiration from our Shoebox NX - keep the footprint small, but make sure the performance is world-class. 📦💪

Our team is out in full force and ready to answer every technical question you can throw at us.

Drop by, see the tech, and let’s talk about how we’re making low-carbon heating work for everyone. See you there!

Good news for off‑gas‑grid homes.

The Government has confirmed the grant is increasing from £7,500 to £9,000 for households on heating oil or LPG (in England and Wales).

That’s a meaningful boost for the three million households relying on these fuels - many of which aren’t protected by the energy price cap - making switching to low‑carbon heating more achievable.

Thanks to their very high efficiency, ground source is especially well suited to many oil and LPG homes, which are often rural, off the gas grid and built to more traditional designs.

They tap into the stable temperature beneath our feet to deliver efficient, low‑carbon heating, helping households move toward:

✅Lower and more predictable running costs
✅Greater energy independence and security
✅A major reduction in carbon emissions
✅No more oil deliveries or bulk fuel payments
✅Tap into grid flexibility and smart tariffs to lower bills

For many oil and LPG heated homes, this could be a genuinely timely nudge to explore ground source heat pumps.

“It’s been absolutely fantastic.”⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

Malcolm swapped oil heating for ground source in his properties in Cornwall with support from the Boiler Upgrade Scheme and a trusted local installer.

In under a minute, he shares how it worked, what he learned, and why he’d recommend it to others thinking about upgrading their heating.

Project Launch: Scotland’s largest networked ground source heat pump retrofit for a local authority!

We’re proud to be working with Renfrewshire Council to deliver a pioneering retrofit project in Paisley, Scotland. Replacing ageing gas systems in two high-rise tower blocks with individual Kensa Shoebox ground source heat pumps, connected to a shared network of underground boreholes.

✅ Two high-rise tower blocks
✅ £1.78m Scotland Heat Network Funding
✅ First project of its kind at this scale in Scotland
✅ Starts July 2025, completes Summer 2026

This project sets a new benchmark for decarbonising heat in social housing in Scotland, delivering comfort and cutting carbon.

Cllr Marie McGurk, said: “We want to make our homes as comfortable and efficient as possible for our tenants. By introducing the ground source heating solution in Gallowhill we will deliver a reliable and environmentally friendly system which will help to simplify our tenants’ energy bills.

Yesterday, we had the honour of welcoming the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rt Hon Rachel Reeves and HM Treasury, to our Truro factory to see first-hand how Kensa is driving clean heat innovation and creating green jobs across the UK.

We shared our bold plans:
✅ 25,000 heat pumps per year
✅ 450-strong UK team
✅ Hundreds more jobs in our supply chain

Backed by strong government policy, including the Future Homes Standard and the £13.2bn Warm Homes Plan, we’re ready to help Britain’s homes ditch outdated heating and switch to cleaner, more affordable energy.

Cornwall is at the heart of this transition, and we’re proud to be part of the region’s growing clean tech sector.

“I’m really looking forward to having this heat pump system installed.”
– Craig, Ashford resident

Craig’s one of many residents set to benefit from a new low-carbon heating programme in Ashford by Ashford Borough Council.

“We have storage heaters, we have one in every room, but they are very, very expensive to run... so really looking forward to having something different to cut the costs.”

Expensive, inefficient heating keeps too many households stuck in fuel poverty.
Kensa’s networked ground source heat pumps offer a smarter, cleaner alternative—helping residents like Craig enjoy comfort, control, and lower bills.

🎥 Watch Craig’s story and hear why this upgrade matters.

“We have storage heaters — we have one in every room, but they are very, very expensive to run... so I'm really looking forward to having this heat pump system installed.” – Craig, resident in Appledore

Craig is one of 74 residents in Appledore and Charing who are going to benefit from Kensa’s networked ground source heat pumps, installed in partnership with Ashford Borough Council.

This project received funding from Department for Energy Security and Net Zero's Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (now Warm Homes Social Housing Fund) programme and was further supported by the council.

In this short film, Craig is joined by Cllr Steve Campkin, Kensa’s Stuart Gadsden, and project manager Bobi Hyam-Lee, all sharing how low-carbon heating is making homes warmer, bills lower, and lives better.
