SPA Ltd recently attended site at Powergate Business Park to carry out a full lighting upgrade within a security hut office.

🔧 Scope of works included:

• Removal of 8 existing lights

• Supply & installation of 8 new LED panel lights

• Provision for 2 emergency light packs

• Full testing of all lighting

• Safe removal and disposal of all waste

Upgrading to LED panels improves brightness, enhances working conditions, and reduces energy consumption and ongoing maintenance costs — a smart investment for any commercial premises.

All works were completed during normal working hours with minimal disruption to site operations.

✅ Roof Safety Restored — Fully Compliant & Back in Service

Following testing of a roof handrail and fixed ladder system, we identified areas requiring attention to meet current safety standards.

The temporary guardrail was found to fall below the 950mm height requirement in certain sections, with several fixings missing.
As a precaution, the system was taken out of service while remedial works were carried out.

We have now successfully completed the works, which included:

🔹Restoring the freestanding handrail to full compliance
🔹Replacing and securing all required fixings
🔹Thoroughly checking the system to ensure it is safe and fit for use

All remedial works were completed in accordance with BS13700:2021, and the system is now fully compliant and back in service.

Safety at height isn’t optional — it’s essential. Proactive inspections and timely remedials make all the difference.

Replacement Service Yard Gate – Completed by SPA Ltd

SPA Ltd recently delivered the replacement of a service yard gate as part of our commercial property maintenance works.

The project included the supply and installation of a new galvanised palisade gate (approx. 3500mm W x 2400mm H), providing a strong, secure, and long-lasting access solution.

Scope of works included:

• Push-to-exit system with key access for controlled entry
• Reinforced mesh protection around the lock area
• Integrated pedestrian access gate within the main outer frame
• Installation of 2 new support posts
• Removal and disposal of the existing gate
