2021 Sussex Young Musician Competition - The Results!
Congratulations to this year's winner - Jane Burnell (Soprano). Jane won the £1000 competition prize and will have the opportunity to perform at a future Coro Nuovo concert.
The runner-up was Laurence Cuttriss (Clarinet) who won a £500 prize. The other finalists were Maria Luc (Piano) and Nancy Holt (Mezzo-Soprano) who each won a £250 prize.
The 2021 competition judge was Sakari Oramo, OBE who is the Chief Conductor of the BBC Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. In the autumn of 2021 Sakari will be conducting the BBC’s Last Night of the Proms which he has been doing since 2014.
