Friday Finished to a varied week

Received a Whatsapp message with pictures regarding a leaking toilet that the home owner presumed was the pan connector.

We liased and were able to give an accurate estimate or labor and materials...

On inspection it was discovered the leak was from the deformed donut 🍩 washer and fixing bolts (very corroded).

I collected the replacement parts but suggested I also replaced the flush and inlet valve while I was there!

The toilet was also not secured to the wall which likely contributed to the movement to start the leak. So I secured it to the wall.

Emergency shower replacement 🚿

A old school friend with a very young family Whatsapp messaged me on Tuesday to say his shower was running cold and also leaking.

I was able to quote him from the pictures he sent (photo 1).

This morning I visited to install the new electric ⚡ shower, also installing a full bore isolation valve, making future maintenance much easier.

Feel good Friday

I received a call from my 1st ever customers from when I started 14 years ago.

They had returned from holiday and had heard a noise from behind the fire for 4 days!

They were especially worried because they were convinced it was a rat 🐀.

I attended, using the camera I quickly established that it was in fact a wood pigeon 🐦😄. Also it was still alive.

The fire was removed, bird caught and released without any apparent issues 😊🙏💙.

I capped off the gas supply as they are going to have an electric fire and a cowl fitted to prevent this happening again

What a fairy tale issue

One I completed last week after starting on bank Holiday.

A big facelift given to this downstairs cloakroom, the furniture has stayed, but the walls have been covered in PVC.

Also the wires have been hidden in the wall and prevision for a heating element in,so the customer has the option for both central heating or electric heater⚡💡⚡

Emergency leak repair emergency🆘💦

A young family had a burst flexible hose to a utility basin tap feed, it was also on the hot supply 😳.

I replaced both flexible connectors as the other didn't look great either!

Received the call around 915pm, attended and left for 1030 pm. My good dead for this late emergency on a Saturday Night😄.

Todays work for a homeowner doing there own tiles.

I dropped in today to sort out the plumbing

I removed a basin and replaced it with a wall mounted unit.

The exposed shower has been repositioned and replaced with a mira shower. With no joints within the cavity 👌
