From St Paul’s "Bobby on the Beat" to Mendip’s Man on the Road 🚓 🏗️

If you were listening to BBC Radio Bristol on Tuesday, you may have heard our Transport & Logistics Manager, Ifor Williams, as he joined John Darvall to talk about his transition from a decorated career with the Avon and Somerset Police to the building industry with us at Mendip Construction (SW) Limited

For many in Bristol, Ifor is a well-known face. He spent much of his career as a beat officer in St Paul's - undoubtedly one of the most challenging policing areas in the city, if not the entire force area. Ifor is no stranger to the "limelight" either, having played a significant role in the 2015 documentary The Murder Detectives, where his common-sense approach and dedication to the community earned him national praise.

Today, Ifor brings that same dedicated work ethic to Mendip Construction. He’s on the road, at the suppliers, and getting his hands dirty on-site across North Somerset and Bristol.

As Ifor put it on the radio: "Now the brickies and the carpenters can get on with doing what they’re doing and I’ll bring them materials."

We are incredibly proud to have someone of Ifor's calibre and character leading our logistics.
