WREN are so proud to be part of this weekend’s Bikelights; Supporting our local community coming together and participating in a low impact highly fun activity!
Highlights have to be the number of people on bikes turning out. 413 bicycles!🚴♀️🚴🚴♂️🔆🌟
It was awesome to see the town lit up and vibrant with hundreds of spectators lining the route especially up Molesworth st and Anneka’s Bridge.
Another highlight was seeing the excited faces of two young local lads who won some amazing cycle specific lights from one of our fellow sponsors
- It turns out these boys commute to Wadebridge school everyday via the trail so the prize proved a perfect solution to riding on through the coming winter months!
There’s no doubt that Wadebridge is a cycling friendly town given its proximity to the Camel Trail and all of its unique independent shops and businesses. Something we can all be proud of.
There’s always room for improvement in street layout and safety but we hope this weekend proved that cycling is a fun and active way to get about and should be accessible to all.
It’s as simple as riding your bike!!😁
If you want to take part in another illuminated night ride this week whilst also advocating for safer streets do consider supporting another Cycling UK glow ride this coming Thursday. More info of where they’re taking place:

Thank you Wadebridge for turning out and being active! 😁😁😁
