📢 The UK phone network is changing

Traditional copper phone lines are being switched off and replaced with Digital Voice, which works through your broadband connection instead. For most homes, that means moving over to Full Fibre broadband over the next few years.

The good news? ☎️
You can usually keep your existing home phone number throughout the whole switch.

From 18th May, UW are launching Digital Home Phone — designed to make the move simple for people who still want the reassurance and familiarity of a home phone, without all the technical jargon.

A lot of households are still paying for outdated phone lines simply because nobody has properly explained the changes. If you’ve heard terms like Digital Voice, PSTN switch-off, or copper network shutdown and thought “what does that even mean for me?” — you’re definitely not the only one.

In most cases, switching can mean:

✔️ Faster, more reliable Full Fibre broadband
✔️ Keeping your current phone number
✔️ Using your home phone as normal
✔️ Removing costs you may no longer need to pay

This is why I love what I do....

☕🚗 Yesterday I had another great appointment helping an 89-year-old gentleman who was sadly being overcharged on one of his two properties by another energy company.

He was struggling with technology, spending ages trying to get through on the phone, and just needed someone local he could trust to help him understand his bills.

As I only live 5 minutes away, I jumped in the car, sat down with him over a cup of tea, and helped get everything sorted. 🙌

Yesterday I had a great appointment with a local lady — and the results were amazing! 🙌

Not only did I help save her £2,052 a year (£171 a month 🤯), but we also discovered she was massively overpaying on a couple of services. On top of that, she received a £100 welcome bonus too! 💷
