When unexpected situations arise, it's often the actions of individuals that leave the biggest impression.

Recently, following an unexpected tyre blowout near one of our sites, a member of the BBV team found themselves in a stressful situation needing a safe place to stop while waiting for recovery.

Aktar Ali Aktar, our Duty Access Manager, stepped in to help. From guiding the vehicle to a safe location to offering a drink, a place to sit and reassurance during a difficult moment, Aktar's calm and professional approach helped turn a challenging situation into a much more manageable one.

Great to see the continued progress being made on the DP World project during a recent site visit from Amar.

The visit provided an opportunity to review operations on site, catch up with the team and see first-hand how the project is progressing. It’s always valuable to spend time on site and recognise the collaborative effort that goes into keeping projects moving safely and efficiently.

Fortel recently supported the BBV HS2 Safety Stand Down at Washwood Heath, bringing teams together to focus on some of the most important conversations in our industry.

As part of the event, Hardeep Sanghera delivered mental health and wellbeing sessions centred around speaking up, looking out for one another, and understanding the impact alcohol can have on both wellbeing and workplace safety.

Creating an environment where people feel comfortable raising concerns and having open conversations is essential to maintaining safe, healthy and supportive workplaces.
