Following our $10 million seed funding announcement, we’re taking you inside Production Facility One to share what’s happening across the Skyfly programme and what’s coming next.

From moving the Axe from prototype and flight testing towards production, to developing Longbow, our unmanned hybrid aircraft, there’s a lot underway.

Skyfly has closed a $10 million seed round led by HICO Investment Group, with participation from Archangel, to take the Axe from flying prototype to certified production aircraft.

The funding completes FAA light sport certification of the Axe under the new MOSAIC rules, scales production in the UK and US ahead of first customer deliveries in 2027, and accelerates the hybrid propulsion system behind Longbow, our unmanned aircraft for defence and government customers.

As we move towards series production, our composites team have been refining our processes for all our carbon fibre components.

To achieve a finish aligned with luxury automotive products our team has worked tirelessly on process and quality control to allow for repeatable high-end component manufacture.
