After 33 incredible years helping build Christeyns Food Hygiene, Graham Hunneman will be stepping back from his executive responsibilities on 27 September 2026, bringing his day-to-day involvement in the business to a close and beginning a new chapter.

Graham joined Klenzan at a very early stage of its development in October 1993 and has played a pivotal role in the growth and success of Christeyns Food Hygiene, helping develop the business into the organisation it is today. Throughout that journey, he has built lasting relationships with customers, colleagues and industry partners across the UK, Ireland and internationally.

Few people have had the opportunity to influence the growth and direction of a business over three decades in the way Graham has, and his contribution has left a lasting legacy within Christeyns Food Hygiene.

While Graham will no longer have any day-to-day operational or account responsibilities, we're delighted that he will retain his connection with Christeyns as Corporate Ambassadorial Director, supporting a limited number of specifically agreed projects, customer engagements and industry events where his experience, knowledge and extensive network can continue to benefit both our customers and colleagues.

On behalf of everyone at Christeyns Food Hygiene, thank you, Graham, for your outstanding contribution, professionalism and unwavering commitment over the past 33 years.

Join us in wishing him every success as he begins this exciting new chapter and are delighted that Christeyns will still be able to call upon his experience from time to time.

Last weekend, our very own Gareth McCabe, SDT 2026 Brian Peacock Award winner for Dairy Technologist of the Year and long‑standing committee member of The Cheese Awards at The Mid Somerset Show proudly represented Christeyns Food Hygiene while supporting this year’s competition.

We were also delighted to have Graham Hunneman assisting with the judging of cheese, bringing his expertise to one of the show’s most celebrated categories.

This year marks Gareth’s 20th year contributing to the event a milestone that reflects his dedication to the dairy sector and the wider Somerset community.

Situated in the heart of Somerset’s Cheddar‑making region, just 10 miles from the village of Cheddar, The Cheese Awards remain a major highlight of the Mid‑Somerset Show, celebrating excellence across the industry.

A huge well done to Gareth and Graham for their continued commitment and for showcasing the passion and expertise behind Christeyns Food Hygiene.

What a week we had at our Christeyns Food Hygiene Charity Golf Event ⛳

Last week we proudly hosted our annual charity golf day in support of the Standing Tall Foundation, founded by Andy Reid MBE - Standing Tall Foundation, a local charity that means a great deal to us here at Christeyns Food Hygiene.

On Wednesday evening, Andy joined us to share his incredible life story and the journey that led him to establishing the Foundation. His talk was inspiring, heartfelt, and a powerful reminder of the impact community support can have.

The evening continued with our charity auction, brilliantly led by our very own Charles Lawis, helping us raise an amazing £3,045 for the Foundation. A huge thank you to everyone who took part.

Despite England not making it through the semi‑finals, spirits were high as we headed into Thursday, our official golf day. The sun was shining, the course looked fantastic, and everyone enjoyed a brilliant day from start to finish.

A massive well done to all our winners, and an even bigger thank you to our generous sponsors: Belton Farm, Sycamore Process Engineering Ltd, Bevisol Ltd, SB Waste Solutions and H & M Disinfection Systems ltd.

We’re also incredibly grateful to Heler Foods, Medik8, and again Belton Farm & SB Waste Solutions for donating prizes that helped make the day even more special.

Thank you to everyone who supported, attended, donated, and helped us raise vital funds for such an important cause.
