We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Tool Hire Manager to develop our new small tools & plant rental operations with enthusiasm and expertise. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the daily management of the tool hire depot, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient inventory control, and team leadership. Your passion for tools, construction equipment, and retail management will drive the success of our tool hire services, creating a positive experience for both customers and staff. Responsibilities
• Providing guidance, coaching / growing a new team, and motivation to achieve sales
• Manage rental inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels, maintenance, and timely replenishment of tools and equipment
• Deliver outstanding customer service by assisting clients with tool selection, rental processes, and technical support
• Promote sales opportunities
• Implement effective sales strategies to increase rental revenue and customer retention
• Maintain administrative records including rental agreements, inventory logs, and financial transactions with precision
Skills
• Proven management experience with a focus on supervising teams in tool hire retail or tool hire environments
• Strong leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with customers, staff, and vendors confidently
• Solid organizational skills to manage inventory, schedules, and administrative tasks seamlessly
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of service
