In light of the current situation, we at GloWell are taking the welfare of our staff customers and suppliers very seriously.
Whilst we continue to trade ‘as usual’, we are confining our day to day work activities to the most urgent and essential aspects. Non-essential work can still be discussed and quotes provided but where possible physical work and site visits will be put back until deemed safe to resume normal practice, especially during the strict lock-down period.

For work carried out, please be assured that we shall be following these steps to offer the safest method of working:

1. When we call we will stand back from your door, allowing you space before allowing access.
2. We shall be wearing breathing mask and disposable gloves (put on just before approaching your property).
3. There will be no requirement for us to have any physical signatures on paperwork at all.
4. Movement around your property will be kept to an absolute minimum, and we will maintain a safe distance (min 2 metres) from anyone within the property. Ideally we would prefer to be directed verbally to where the appliance is, and left to do the work with no need for direct attendance.

We sincerely hope to be back to a more normal and personable service at the very soonest.

It’s never been a good idea to bury compression fittings in concrete, and this is a great example of what can happen to pipe and fittings when they aren’t protected.

The only way forward is to cut out the old, wet vac out the pipework and make up a new section that can be soldered in with slip fittings. Once it’s had time to run and check for leaks, remembering to wrap the pipework completely before the screed goes back in.

This is so worth sharing..... I hope it is obvious from these pictures which are the ‘before’, wrong way to do it ones, and the ‘after’ I’d sorted it out ones. It would be fair to say that the customer initially went with the cheapest option and ended up with white plastic pipework almost just thrown into place. Not clipped, not straight, and generally a right mess.....enjoy.

The latest installation this week - a lovely new Worcester 30Si Compact combi which replaced a very old Potterton open-vent system boiler.
Quieter, safer, more reliable and far more efficient. Fitted with Worcester’s Comfort 1 RF programmable controller and a Fernox TF1 filter to keep the nice clean system water in good condition.
We also replaced all the rad valves with new Drayton TRV4s to make sure every room is at the right temperature.
In all very satisfying to see the difference this made. Before and Afters below......
