It’s been a busy few days on site!

We’ve been making great progress on our project to redevelop this building into four new flats, with plenty happening across all floors.

Over the last few days, the team has been busy:

🧱 Knocking out openings, pointing and rebuilding brickwork where needed
🗑️ Clearing and bagging rubble ready for the skip
🏗️ Setting up acro props on the top floor ready for knock-outs and lintel changes
🪵 Installing joists in Flat 4 and building the ensuite stud wall
⬆️ Moving joists and steel upstairs ready for the mezzanine installation
🔩 Installing the mezzanine steel and trimmers for the new staircase
🪟 Installing and dry-packing a new lintel above the landing window
🧱 Repairing cracked walls and rebuilding the sides where required
🔨 Chipping out old ground-floor lintels and starting the installation of new ones
⚒️ Fitting joist hangers and tightening fixing bolts

A lot of hard work goes on behind the scenes at this stage, but it’s great to see the layout and structure of the four flats really starting to take shape.

Now that’s a garage entrance!

Another week, another step closer to four new flats!

We’ve been busy on our Warwickshire project, converting a commercial building into four flats, and there’s been plenty happening on site this week.

Here’s a quick round-up:

🔨 Flooring laid in the ensuite of Flat 4
🪵 New joists cut and installed
🏗️ Pads chopped out and installed ready for the steelwork and mezzanine
🧹 Flat 4 cleared of rubble and timber
🔥 An old fireplace uncovered in Flat 4 – a little piece of the building’s history revealed!
🧱 Work continued on the pillar and doorway in Flat 3
🚧 Started removing old plaster along the walkway to the toilet

It’s a busy stage of the conversion, but great to see the building gradually taking shape and each flat starting to come together.

Another busy and productive week on site for the Buildcraft Developments team!

We’ve made great progress across the project, including:

🧱 Building brickwork and setting padstones in position
🏗️ Installing trestles and planks for the brickwork
🚜 Breaking up and clearing concrete paths using the digger and dumper
🏠 Repairing the barn roof and replacing broken tiles
💧 Starting the downpipes and rainwater drainage
🔩 Drilling and chemically fixing wall plate bolts
⛏️ Digging trenches and bedding rainwater pipes in gravel

Plenty of hard graft, but it’s great to see the project moving forward and all the different elements starting to come together!

Three days on site... and plenty of progress already!

Here’s a snapshot of what the team has been busy with on one of our latest projects:

✔️ Lifted the top floor floorboards, removed old nails, and started reboarding.
✔️ Removed the remaining plaster from the walls.
✔️ Knocked down a basement wall ready for the next phase.
✔️ Moved and sorted reclaimed bricks.
✔️ Cleared debris from the ground and first floors.
✔️ Cleaned out the basement and loaded waste into the skip.
✔️ Completed reboarding in one top floor room and moved straight into the next.
✔️ Dismantled the access tower once work was complete.
✔️ Swept and tidied the stairs and all rooms from the ground floor upwards.
✔️ Continued lifting floorboards, removing nails, and reboarding the second top floor room.
✔️ Carried out roof works to keep the project moving forward.

It might not be the glamorous stage of the build, but it’s the hard graft that lays the foundations for everything that follows. We’re excited to keep sharing the progress with you as this project develops!

Last week we reached the next stage on this project by building the gable end. Every stage brings us one step closer to the finished result, and it’s great to see all the hard work starting to take shape.

Every project has to start somewhere... and if we’re honest, the first few weeks are usually the messiest!

We’ve been working on a new project over the last couple of weeks, and this week we’ve started knocking down a first-floor wall to make way for the next stage of the transformation.

It might not look pretty just yet, but behind every pile of rubble is the beginning of something special. We can’t wait to show you how this one develops over the coming weeks!

There’s never a dull moment on site!

This week we’ve been taking down gable ends, salvaging and cleaning as many original bricks as possible, installing new wall plates and straps, and safely removing an unstable gable end ready for the rebuild.

A lot of hard work goes into every stage, but it’s always worth it when you know you’re creating a solid foundation for what’s to come.

We can’t wait to show you the transformation as this project progresses!
