We proudly showed off some of our recent installs with others this week and the response during discussions was “‘we thought it was a new build!’ – High praise indeed for such a complicated project, with substrate remedials being very extensive throughout the project.

On this project, we have installed the KeraTwin K20 Terracotta system, which was supplied by EH Smith Specialist Facades in a fully built-up rainscreen system. This has completely transformed the exterior and given the façade a new lease of life. We’re looking forward to releasing more photos as the project nears completion.

Trainee Site Manager - Luke Conlane
Luke joins TSL with a vast amount of practical experience in flat roofing. This experience will complement our existing operational team as he takes his first steps in to a management role. Since joining Luke has become a valued member of our team and we look forward to him growing alongside us.

What have you done previously?

"In my previous work I started building up felt roofing when I was 19 and worked for various roofing companies during the last 4-5 years. I worked as a site supervisor self-employed for a company called Cobsen Davies (Avonside). I have an NVQ level 2 in built up felt roofing and today I just passed my SMSTS!"

Why TSL?

"The reason why I chose TSL is I worked previously for them on the tools for a couple of jobs. I had been off work for 7 months due to an injured knee and saw a post by Dexter, I enquired to see if there's any jobs going. I didn't really think I would get a callback, but I did."

What do you enjoy most about your job?

"I enjoy my job because it's a new challenge and now that I'm learning a new set of skills it's really interesting to see the different side of the business from being on the tools."

How has it been so far?

"So far it's been a good learning curve it's one of the best working atmospheres I have experienced, everyone is so helpful and it feels like one big family. It's also great to be given the opportunity to learn new skills by going on various courses and being encouraged to better yourself."

What do you do outside of work?

"Outside of work I go target shooting on the weekend. Due to my knee, I had to give up golf and downhill mountain biking, but I miss golf too much so soon will be getting back to it. I like taking my family on days out especially now I'm a grandad, I love being a young grandad it's one of the best things ever."

The long-anticipated TSL day out was everything we could have wished for and more. Our partners at Southern Scaffolding Supplies Ltd joined us for an incredible day at The Goodwood Group Races. There was even some karaoke, but we thought we'd save you all from the videos of that one... 😅

Dan joins us as a Project Manager bringing years of experience in his field to the role. Since being with us he's made a positive impact on all those in the office whenever he's around (including bringing in plenty of doughnuts).

Dan started out in the height safety industry designing and installing systems. He worked his way up into management and started running roofing projects alongside. Having spent 12 years with the same company he decided to venture further into the industry in pursuit of new skills and self-development.

Why TSL?

"Having worked with TSL previously its evident that they are developing year on year not just as a business but as individuals. They want the best for all clients and employees, and they go above and beyond with personal development. Why not TSL?"

What do you enjoy most about your job?

"The people I work with, whether it's the clients or work colleges. The environment that's created for all of us is such a great experience. It's a pleasure coming to work."

How has it been so far?

"I've never worked anywhere quite like it! Working as a team constructively to help develop the business and work with colleagues that want to help each other grow and develop. The TSL experience is something to behold."

What do you do outside of work?

"Outside of work I spend as much time with my wife and 2 boys as possible. The shenanigans we get up to on family walks, camping and climbing trees is unbelievable!"

📣 Huge congratulations to Antony Knight on his recent promotion to Project Manager! 🎉 He's been an asset to the business for a little over six years in site management, managing multiple clients and prestigious projects to successful completion.

Document Controller - Paul Patrick
Paul has over 14 years of experience in the industry. He has an unrivalled passion for document control and is highly experienced in online portals such as Procore, Viewpoint for Project, Asite & Aconex. His values and beliefs align perfectly with the TSL ethos and is a valued addition to the team. He hopes to focus on streamlining our document organisation even further.

Like many of us, Paul tried various roles within the industry before setting his sights on document control which grew in to the passion it is today. He hopes to put his own stamp on our current processes and continue his exemplary work.
